I don’t think it needs saving, it’s a very fun game, it you are not a meta minmaxer. But also can’t control how people view or feel about it i guess, i think it is in general over compaired and nit picked, myself included, and the best times i have had is just tapping back into how i was when i kicked back and played a arpg on ps2, and when i do, i actually have a great time making a character and playing.
Imo playing any game overly meta-ish can lead to burnout, but each to their own, It does for me at least, if makes it feel like a job, becasue i have too many self imposed expectations, when imo at the end of the day it’s entertainment, solo leisure time and perhaps time with family or a friend, so playing this way i have way more fun, then trying to keep up with the meta
That said ofc, the game even on that front needs work, polish, whatever, but I let go, I let go of gear that is subject to change, time investment, all of it, and it changes the way i enjoy the game, and perhaps some of you can too.
It’s made progress, and the new skills are fun, spell interaction is fun and we are only at the beginning of that it seems, so it’s doing alright, I think the materials and target farming mythic are my least enjoyable part, and Considering the time this season spent, One even low Quality mythic would be nice, as like D3 i gave up on the endless slots machine to get prime gear, its wasn’t my thing, so I know there is a chance to drop in the game outside and perhaps that needs to be a little better, since if you buy mats and such and grind this stuff that way for those ppl, it drops like candy anyway right, so as a want to play regular but casual D4 player, that will complete the season and atleast one alt, if not more, One mythic or two would have been nice. Heck even GA triples, something lol.
But that is my biggest complaint tbh, it wasn’t something i enjoyed in D3 and so i don’t enjoy it here either, not at the level of entry it seems to currently be at at least.
