Game is in a terrible state and rapidly losing players…nearly 700,000 in the last 30 days alone…people blindly defending this game are only making it worse for themselves, blizzard, and everyone else. So no…I’m not the problem at all…YOU are.
Same technical limitation existed in Diablo 3. I remember them giving us much more stash space and reverting that change back after game performanse was bad.
And yet here you are on the forums of a game you supposedly can’t stand. Has it ever accrued to you that some people are actually having fun and don’t want to play POE. I think D4 has a good solid foundation and I’m excited to see what new stuff gets added, sorry it didn’t tick all your boxes.
Here’s a random idea, go play something you do like… just a passing thought
I’m like 100+ hours into baldurs gate 3…D4 already was garbage but after playing Baldurs gate 3 it makes D4 look like exactly what it is…a spit in the face to the people who bought it.
People are frustrated because they expected a game made for players, not shareholders.
Blizz has thrown its own players under the bus. Diablo4 should have been the last hurray for all the dedicated players and fans of Blizzard before it gets sold.
But instead of developing a well thought out, well executed epic and quality product for its players, Blizz decided to release a below average quality product with the intention purely to push metastatistics and sells to please shareholders.
Its a short term marketing strategy instead of real game development. Because there is just no tomorrow for this company, it is already sold, so there will be no consequences. They just tried to grab as much Money out of this before they are leaving the stage. And it worked.
People wont stop the critsicm or hate, before the game gets better enough or nobody cares anymore. Blizzard is playing on Time here.
Lets have everyone have their own oppinion, dont try to convince people of yours. Its pointless and more toxic to try to convince them of your oppinion than actually just let them steam out the anger, it will all clear itself up.
And here you still are haha…. Replying to this thread in a forum of a game you don’t like when you could be playing BG3. Funny how you throw the word lemming around yet you’re not actually off doing you’re own thing and just having fun but instead choose to hang around here and talk about a game you don’t like haha.
no that is not the case. There are countless examples of mmorpgs working inside a console frame. Most prominent is probably ff14, and it works like a charm. And there is a lot more going on then in d4.
Its just bad coding from Blizzard. More a problem of getting the scammy stuff out, they obviously planned to implement. Thats the mess we have.
well i have left plenty constructive ideas to make the game more enjoyable.
An example:
But hey, it is what it is. Im not responsible to bring ideas how to improve a faulty or bad product. Blizz has its own employees that are responsible for that.
If you go to a restaurant and the food tastes bad, you are not responsible to tell the chef how to cook. You just let him know that you didnt liked it.
IDK if you quoted stuff from other threads or whereever the “fixes” for loot came from but those are all terrible entirely… Like the exact opposite is what should happen, we don’t need even more loot set in stone, we need more variety
Fighter’s amulet => 5-10% Barrier/Fortify generation (inherent)
Scout’s amulet => 5-10% MS or AS
Wanderer’s amulet => 2-4% (baseline) LH or Crit
Mage’s amulet => 4-8/% Max Resource, RCR or Re/Gen
Cultist’s amulet => (10-20)%non/Physical/Overtime damage
Bishop’s amulet => HP Regen/Healing Received
And that’s just for amulets only… I mean I overdid it but Amulets can really “tank” all the variety there can be… By expanding this concept on other item slots (not as much as on the Amulets tho) will fix loot drastically
People will gamble much less often and the loot just by the inherent roll alone can be a hit or miss…
Say someone wants an Amu with LH% or Crit - the moment a Wanderer’s amu drops people know that the inherent rolls are exactly those 2 things (if it also rolls the same affixes AGAIN down in the list of affixes then it’s a jackpot and likely a moment for celebrating )
The problem isn’t that the affixes are too generic (some of them are but that’s fine), the problem is that inherent rolls do not allow any excitement/variety… Mace dropped ?, oh gosh, like I didn’t know it’s Overpower again (right ?), what if that Mace rolled bonus damage while healthy ?, or what if it rolled Overpower now happens twice (in 2 consecutive hits), or what if it rolled IDK inflict injury earlier ?
I know some people don’t want to hear this (like Boots with 1, 2 or 3 evades) but it is A LOT better approach than reducing variety of rolls even further (trust this )
Its not targeted towards the D3 entitled for sure. Games launch has definetly been one of the smoothist for all diablo games. Does need to figure out some things.
Play till your no longer having fun than play something else. Maybe you come back later, maybe you dont.
It’s easy to fall into tribalistic mentality. Even if you don’t believe in something to begin with. I try this every now and then on an anonymous forums by taking positions I don’t actually believe in. When people that I authentically agree with use shady tactics or misrepresentations of how I’m arguing things that I don’t genuinely believe in, I begin to align myself more with the people that actually believe what I’m trying to argue.
If that makes any sense.
Basically, I begin to disdain people that I authentically agree with, and side and support those who I authentically disagree with simply because for that purpose I am arguing for the same thing.
I imagine the long-term effects of this process probably creates all of the rabid fanaticism that we see today. So it’s easy to fall into that trap and stop thinking rationally. It’s a skill to be open-minded enough to change your opinion based on discussion.
