Thatā€™s exactly what the developers have been saying for quite some time now and S7 is the epitome of that mindset. The reality is outside of a loud minority, nobody else likes that type of experience. Hence the game is pretty much dead and years behind the direct competition.

Hell Poe is so old fashioned they still make you do the campaign over and over and story boils down to weā€™re looking for a beastā€¦,

Granted Diablo needs more depth Iā€™ll give you that but trust me players will always want speed.

And just so you understand I would love better boss fights personally but I donā€™t see it happening.

My read of their comments is that they acknowledge this.

They could have gone further with dialling up the t4 environment.

A shift of just 11 pit tiers seems pretty modest and they still have a vision for players to have quick kills (god like in their words).

Refs to ā€œgod likeā€ on both those points in the 2.2.0 PTR campfire around 33:05 and 37:40.

How about they actually consider letting us actually battle Diablo?

No, they want to know if we will buy a pretty new fishing pole from the cash shop.

These guys make big bucks to sit around at meetings and think up what they can copy/paste to make a sale. Itā€™s like Romper Room or Lemmings following the first one over the cliff.

Reason I left the game was Tempering ā€¦ Well, there were many reasons, bad bosses, bad endgame, lack of meaningful content etc etc, but tempering was 90% of it. If they killed that and added set items then I would consider returning for the first time.

in this kind of net promoter score survey, should choose either extreme end, selecting the middle renders the question wasted.

I got one. It was early on around S2 or S3. I am positive I will never get another one. Makes one more naughty list with my name on it.

Yes. First there will be fishing :fishing_pole_and_fish:. And soon there will be otters :otter:.

My original stream with it was about 48 minutes long, so Iā€™m trimming it right now, just taking some time. Iā€™ll post it soonish. I got another 20 mins to scrub through. Hopefully it wonā€™t be too long, but I can write out the questions with it as well.

The main portion of the survey was one of those, ā€œWhat is most likely to make/keep you satisfied playing, and what is the least likely to make/keep up satisfied playing.ā€ So it shows a list of 5 options, you pick the best and the worst, and it continues for a while.

I wish I could answer this question.

But I can answer this one: the current road map for 2025 is convincing me that S8 will be the end of my time in D4. Iā€™ve no interest in the seasons, & Blizz seems utterly fixated on ignoring Eternal.

Yea thatā€™s fair. The survey shows a decent amount of potential base game changes coming though. Doesnā€™t mean theyā€™ll all make it into the game of course, but I would say the majority of questions in the survey would affect the base game rather than the seasonal realm. Not all of course.

In what area D4 is on par or ahead compared to POE2 in your opinion? Because after seeing the survey questions, all I could see was features the competition had pretty much locked down while Blizzard is still in the wondering phase aka. heavily trailing behind, years.

In POE2 the campaign is part of the game, unlike D4 where itā€™s just a tutorial. The story, sure. Diablo will always be better.

D4 doesnā€™t only lack depth. They stripped down the game so heavily in the name of efficiency, thereā€™s not much left. Speed? All you got is speed in D4 and NOTHING else :joy: And, for everyone that doesnā€™t care about speed thereā€™s exactly that, nothing.

D4 canā€™t compete with POE2. Not even slightly.
