Help Me to make this make sense (Severe Network Instability)

I’m getting to my wits end about this

I have tried every trick and the book and no, I’m sorry, it just simply isn’t on my end

I can watch a 4k youtube video for three hours without a single instance of buffering bar from the webpage loading

I can play MW2 with 30 ping for hours on end

I can download my favorite games at a wonderful 30 MB/s!

Ookla is reporting my speeds as 300 Mbps down and 30Mbps up, great! That’s what I’m paying for

I’ve restarted my router, my computer, checked drivers and updated everything that needs to be updated. I’ve turned cross-play on and off. I live across the river from a Blizzard server farm in DC, so proximity to server hubs isn’t an issue. Heck even tried a wired versus and wifi connection, no dice. No suggested solutions work. Doesn’t matter what time of day, be it 8am EST, 12 noon, 8pm, or even midnight, same results.

And yet I can’t go thirty seconds in game without an instance of rubberbanding and getting the moonwalk of death.

No other game is like this, and every topic I’ve seen has been gaslighting players, saying “its your hardware” or “you’re far from a server”. To put this in perspective, during the supposed “server slam” I had better network performance, to the point that I don’t believe I had any instance of rubberbanding/lag or noticeable latency issues whatsoever.

I like this game, and I’d like it more if trying to play wasn’t making me question my sanity.

Same happening to me :frowning:

Same here. Constant lag, rubberbanding, and disconnections. Often immediately when entering the game. Sometimes the game can hang when booting. Login screen will freeze without showing the “Logging in…”. Otherwise the lag starts immediately after joining a server. The game doesn’t seem to want to respect the disabled crossplay settings either. Fine with all other games. Restarted the modem, reset connection settings, replaced the modem, and attempted several other troubleshooting strategies to no avail. Gigabit internet. It’s likely not my network. Internet is fine with all other games, streaming, etc.

This issue is too widespread to not be an issue stemming from Blizzard. There are too many people reporting that they have no issues with their internet or any other games, and only issues with Diablo 4.
