Why does a requirement of Hardcore have to be repeating boring parts? Things like side quests, storyline, and renown that you’ve already completed. At least for a season, it seems like bad business to make people do boring grinding.
The beautiful thing about programming is there is a way to solve that in a virtual world. I would argue that problem does not exist in the real-world. See we have a thing called inheritance and my successor can inherit all that I have gained. Even if they have no experience (sad but true). So why can’t my seasonal hardcore inherit renown, so I can progress faster each time I die. Makes sense for seasonal.
Again, I play hardcore because it adds excitement by risking my equipment when I’m out fighting. Not to farm roadblocks to skill points from renown, that has no value and is just not fun to me. Are there players that enjoy this?
