Haradric Cube Idea

I wanted to suggest an idea for Blizzard deves that I think would be a game changer for Diablo 4. I think this idea will bring back a lot of D2 players and hardcore players. It’s an optional crafting system in the game. What if we had a Haradric cube in the game that when we open it we can insert in it an item, weapon, armor, dungeon key, and we can also insert gems and runes and based on the combination of gems, runs and the gem/rune quality it would have an determined but slightly random effect on the item. Like a chance to upgrade the item from magic to rare, or rare to legendary, or legendary to unique, or unique to mythic or upgrade the rolls on the item or change the rolls, or reset the tempers, or destroy the item, or add sockets to the item, or add a GA to the item or make a normal legendary into a mythic, there are a lot of possibilities with this system. There would be recipes to learn and there would be RNG success rates. I think if Blizzard implemented this into D4, then this would severely improve the game.

While I am not completely opposed to your idea overall, I do think some of the details of your idea are bad. The last thing this game needs, is more layers of RNG…

Agreed. If Blizzard is dead-set against bringing back the old Horadric Cube, they should at LEAST introduce its slightly more A-ggressive cousin, the Haradric Cube.

Or should that be the HARDaric Cube?

They can’t bring back the original cube it’s been destroyed you literally use a shard of it for the eventual cow level

… there is NO cow level… and there had better be no whimsyshire

So far based on the process I think we’re going to cowshire

sounds a lot like POE system w/ extra steps.

Maybe the real Cube was all the friends we made along the way

mayb not cube but a npc mayb? no to the RNGfactor

a horadric npc who can forge horadric items - gears, cosmetics or wat not

Weird but I was thinking about the Cube last night as a Seasonal Mechanic…allows for three additional aspects to be selected in the Cube…

Sorry Horadric cube* When I type it with an O the forums tells me it’s misspelled unless I do it with an A. And don’t bring it back as a seasonal idea, bring it back as a permanent edition.
