I’ve been grinding the Hall of the Penitent for the past half hour and twice now the objective for “Defeat Belial” has updated meaning he’s supposed to now spawn…. and he simply doesn’t.
The altar/brazier doesn’t reappear either so I’m forced to actually leave the area and come back to continue the grind, but so far both times he’s supposed to have appeared like this he simply doesn’t and the room is bugged.
**edit: it’s happened a third time now, over at the Ancient’s Seat: boss is defeated, the chest appears, I click the chest and it opens to drop the gear, objective updates to ‘Defeat Belial’ and he never spawns.

Same thing here, just had it come up Defeat Belial but he doesn’t spawn

Yes, this is still happening. I’ve been farming Urivar and everytime I get the Defeat Belial quest, he doesn’t spawn and my dungeon bugs out.

I just had that happen 5 times today to me, still not fix, no idea how to make him spawn, it’s just a lot of betrayer’s horn into the void, very sad to lose so much because of a bug
Been happening since LoH launch. Feels like about 2/3 of the time Belial “spawns” he doesn’t spawn. This carries with it the added benefit of forcing you to portal, reset the dungeon, then travel back to the dungeon to continue farming. Of all the bugs that have been fixed, this seems more important than 99% of them.
Just happend to me aswell, got the quest for it after I open the chest but no Belial to kill
There’s a work-around: Reset dungeons after every Belial fight. (Coincidentally, resetting dungeons after Nemesis Lair encounters also prevents Nemesis Lair Portals from leading to empty arenas.)
That same bug is still in the game only way how i got it working was leave game and log back. Even some saying reset dungeon fixing it, its not fixing
It’s still in the game, been happening to me all day. probably missed out on 10-15 belials today because of it -.- Blizzard, please get off the couch and fix.

I had posted on this yesterday in another thread. But Its not just Grig, it seems to be all of them at this point. Mad boss farming. But 80% of the time when the ticker comes up to defeat Belial he doesn’t spawn. I was going to attach image since it just happened again. But there isn’t any way to attach image. So 4:24PM PST Harbinger. Beast 8:45PM PST.
