The Sorcerer at full Heat will suddenly lose all benefits of Heat mid-fight (spells cost mana, damage goes down) but can still maintain their quantity of stacks or,
The Sorcerer at full Heat will suddenly and instantly lose ALL stacks of Heat mid-fight and will be prevented from gaining more.
To reproduce:
Take a sorcerer with the five-piece Habacalva’s Cauldron Set active into a Helltide Rupture with full stacks of Heat already generated.
Stand on the circles and defeat the demons and eventually this bug will occur.
This also does occur in other game modes such as the Pit where, surprise, ruptures spawn.
To resume having fun:
Hot swap a skill on the skill bar (by pressing S on the keyboard for the skill tray and swiftly dragging it over another skill) for one that isn’t (eg. basic for a defensive skill).
Be warned that even after performing the skill swap mid-fight, one can be locked out of the five set bonus and you have to repeat these steps. I’ve had to perform that skill swap upwards of five times in a single Helltide Rupture.
Other posters have recommended swapping one of the Cauldron Set pieces for another or quickly mounting then dismounting.
I do not have screenshots to share and I don’t know how they would benefit anyone.. you either have the fifteen stacks of Heat and a low mana pool or no stacks at all and a low mana pool. I also do not have screen recording software installed.
There have been, from a quick examination, three posts on this matter including one that dates back two months to Season 13. While the PTR did mention a fix for the Cauldron Set in 3.1, it did not fix this. I am posting my version because these forums seem to have a specific style for reporting bugs that Blizzard moderators want and all previous posts have gone unacknowledged thus far.
Having the same issue. Really frustrating to have my build break 5x mid combat, and having to desperately try to reset a talisman with a mob of mobs chasing me.
No apparent trigger other than to repeatedly use the set bonus. I’ve had it happen everywhere, but mostly notice it in helltides and closing rifts.
this bug is really starting to make me mad. every time i try to push in the tower, this set breaks which usually ruins runs. i am not fast or good enough to swap charms mid battle without getting killed to manually fix it: i shouldn’t have to. as a side note, this bug can happen in any content and not just ones with ruptures. so blizz, please fix the cauldron set. thanks.
Three? There have been at least 6 (including yours now). I bumped 5 different threads reporting this topic to the top together and then stopped looking. Blizzard either doesn’t read this forum or doesn’t care. At this point I feel like we’re shouting into the void.
Blizzard: We buffed fire sorc this season!
Us: Great - but now we can’t engage in the seasonal mechanic because it breaks our heat stacks. It also can happen when you get caught in ANY effect circle (explosion, poison, etc)
are any of you using the flameshield enchantment? orsivane will give you the enchantment for it. i have found that when the flameshield enchantment triggers my heat stops forming
I also have tried to live with this Class/ spec breaking issue – Do we know if any of the other talisman sets have this issue of suddenly losing 5 piece bonuses? or is it purely limited to Habacalva’s Cauldron?
i would really like to play some more this season blizz
