no it absolutely is not

Do Overpower Stacks fall off one by one or all together?
-
They took cap off Enchanting!? Lol what? Can you Enchant GAs now?
-
Does the Cube Remove and Add Affix allow you then to reroll 2 of 4 Affixes?
-
Does the Cube Add Affix give GAs ever?
-
Can you improve the Skill Tree enhancements at all? Some of them seem to have really weak Multiplicative Damage and Flat Damage. Ranks add a lot of power now and Aspects dwarf the Skill Tree.
-
Can you have a Unique in every Charm Slot? I noticed the Talisman it looks like you can have +1 Unique Slot for Charms as an Affix twice. Unique Charms seem to so far outpace the Sets it isn’t even funny.
-
Has Maxroll’s Character Planner been updated yet? Really would like to theorycraft before jumping into the mess.
Have not been able to log in since busy with work and avoiding the Queue debacle.
Also, Side Note, why did they basically put in Charms to make players decide between Player Power or huge XP and Gold? Smells like Magic Find again.
I thought I was going crazy!! Thanks!
Not sure if this is ready to be documented but it is a change and an exciting one. My Rogue at lvl 30 got a pair of rare gloves with these stats:
x13% Vulnerable Damage
x13% Critical Strike Damage
x12% Shadow Damage
Previously those stats were mutually exclusive on an item.
(On a Rapidfire Rogue that can get pretty decent critical strike chance early and with the uptime we now have on Shadow Imbuement this is a very nice find. This is the kind of rolls the game has been missing.)
When you go to a second Eternal character after clearing the campaign, on the character selection, there is an option that says “Change campaign conditions” (IIRC) you can remove the need for the campaign or the quest start showing,
So affix bucket restrictions seem to have been lifted.. interesting. I’ll add it after dinner.
So many of these changes are just plain awful and show devs dont know what players want and what they dont.
- elixirs and incense gone. There goes some more customization and choice
- enchanting has no upper gold limit it seems
- barter costs are way higher now and nearly useless
- inherents gone. There should be more of this not less than add a rare drop that rerolls inherents. More loot drops and options are better.
- no aspects from dungeons. No longer get starter aspects rollling.
- runes removed instead of making them all fit
- cellars still useless
Bad. Just bad. ![]()
Relaying from someone else:
If I use Inferno for the 6 stacks [of Overpower], sometimes using TP [Blaze] just removes all of them instead of just 1
But only happens after using Inferno
Also as the Overpower from Inferno falls off
Even if Meteorites are hitting, the stacks don’t refresh
But they refresh when it’s only Meteor
So Overpower Sorcs beware.
That is actually…bad. We are repeating the same issue we had with Amulets with 4x Passives. Stat-stacking will lead us down a very narrow path with clear winners and losers. The example given are all Multiplicative with one another and the more buckets you have available, the better scaling you will see as a result. Those builds with less buckets will have overall less potential.
Could you imagine if Aspect restrictions were removed? You would see builds with all damage (what we saw with Chaos Uniques) and the Builds with high EHP baked into their Build/Class will prevail.
Glyphs now upgrade at 50 instead of 46 with max glyph level 150.
Also, on eternal a lot of crit dmg is gone as expected but you can farm it up. Right now for me the best path forward is building my own gear from blues and hoping. I got to tier 11 and was wondering why my sorc felt light all of sudden, it’s crit dmg multi.
And Blizzard just takes without giving you anything…if I lose a legendary rune cos it’s been removed from the game, I should get a random legendary rune in its place.
Enchanting costs were already super high and overpriced. Raising them more just ruins the game even more.
None of the listed changes are good imho. I think it is time this lad will be ringing Sony to ask for a refund.
Not sure if rarities changed for this one but I had to get all the way to lvl 69 before finding Wolves. ![]()
That is huge. So 25 and 50 are the new upgrades for radius then?
My glyphs are 100, but I had another toon that had a low one…when went to upgrade and it upgraded at 50 for higher gem cost too. And I see you can go more than 100 now up to 150 like the 150 gems from D3. I hate to say it, they are running out of ideas.
All and all the playing through the campaign story was great. I like the changes, but to craft the perfect rolls (not that I want to do that) will be a grind. I am going to chill so I don’t burn myself out and just adjust. Right now, I am still tinkering with builds in eternal.
Welcome to what Barbarians have experienced since forever with Overpowers being consumed by stuff that shouldn’t. Beware that this persisted all the way up until the overhaul now and made it through the 1st Overpower overhaul with the same issue.
The only reliable way I could use Overpowers before was with Xan which guaranteed Crits and Overpowers for a brief window rather than something just consuming it inadvertently. Now that is gone, you will have to rely on game mechanics to actually work.
I’m pretty sure that happened. My Sorc on Eternal had a Igni instead of a Xol in their armor, for example.
I agree with all of this except I don’t miss elixirs and incense or think they added enough customization to outweigh their tedium, and Barter always felt useless to me, so I don’t miss that either.
well, I can’t tell, since it wasn’t highlighted was it…and I didn’t take screenshots of every item pre LOH expansion release for comparison. And, nor should I have to. If Blizzard changes/removes something, it should be documented for the end user. That’s good customer service, and good communication. Something with which Blizzard sucks at both - BADLY.
The skill trees are pretty barren in this regard. Defensive aspects are going to be a thing again. Resource management will be a thing. There are limiting factors.
Everyone has access to at least these four: All Damage, Vuln, DOT/Crit, Element.
How many different categories can one build possibly amount on items/charms alone? These are the questions we need to consider.
I agree it should be documented. I’m just noting that they did get replaced.
They’re bad if you don’t have the Expansion. Most of what was lost is available now via Cube/Talisman.
