ℹ ggiNotes - Unofficial Patch Notes - LoH 3.0 Update

Seeing as we didn’t get any real patch notes this time around, and we’re all scrambling for information, figured I’d make an actual listing of ‘patch notes’ myself. Some of this information was already portrayed in Developer updates, so there will be some overlap of course.

This is going to be a work in progress, I’ll edit it as people find out more information obviously, so bare with me. I’ll make it look pretty later once we’ve gotten a good amount of changes going.

Vessel of Hatred

Rune Changes

  • Various runes have been removed
  • Some runes have also changed rarities.
  • If you have runes on the Eternal Realm they were converted automatically

Lord of Hatred

Talisman System

  • Unlocked during the LoH campaign
  • Find Seals and Charms as you play normally
  • Seals sit in the middle, unlocking additional charm slots, roll bonus affixes, and can even change the rules to which charms you can equip.
  • Unique Charms give you the aspect of a Unique without having to equip the unique itself.
  • Set Charms give set bonuses.
    • Pre-torment set charms are generic, exp, gold, etc.
    • Torment Charms are class specific, harder to find and may offer different playstyles

Horadric Cube

  • Unlocked upon completion of the campaign
  • Offers tailoring of items, adding, removing affixes, combining items, etc.
    • Can break down Ancestral Uniques to create a Unique Charm
    • 3-to-1 transmutation can convert armor, weapons, seals, charms, etc.
    • Set Charms can be rerolled similar to D3 and can reroll with GA’s.

Transfiguration (cube)

  • Adds a powerful fifth affix (attack speed, CDR, main stat, etc.) to Legendary, Unique, or Mythic gear.
  • Final Step in Gear Progression
    • Make sure your item is Enchanted, Tempered, Masterworked, and has Sockets added
    • After Transfiguring, you can only ever change out the gems or runes, no additional altering
  • Standard Transfiguration is more chaotic, high risk high reward
    • Has a small chance to be Transfigured more than once
  • Applying an “Entropic Tuning Prism” makes your Transfigure more stable, reduces the reward ceiling, but always guarantees a clean upgrade.
  • Amulet only Transfiguration can grant you a bonus Legendary Power
    • Can be rerolled indefinitely if you have the materials required.

War Plans:

  • Activated by the visiting the command table in the new zone upon completion of the campaign
  • Can have up to 5 activities.
    • Cannot choose the exact same activity 5 times
    • Ex. can’t just spam NMDs 5 times in a row
  • You can immediately teleport directly to your activity.
  • War plans can generate an activity key if you don’t have one.

Activity Passive Trees (war plans)

  • Activity tree’s customize each type of activity.
    • You gain 7 points per activity.
  • Lair Boss Tree example:
    • Lair of Runes - Bosses have +1 Monster Power / Lair Bosses have a higher chance to drop specific runes.
    • Lair of Plenty - Bosses have +1 Monster Power / Gain +1 Hoard Chest when you slay a lair boss.
    • Golden Hoard - All equipment that would drop from Hoard Chests are converted to Gold, except for Uniques and Mythic items.
    • Exotic Armory - Hoard Chests drop one additional Unique Item, but it can be for any Class.
    • Grigoire’s Gambit - After opening a Tortured Gift in Helltides, there is a chance that Grigoire’s knights will ambush you. When killed in Helltide they may drop Unique items available from his Hoard Chest.

Known Bugs

Cellars are not appearing on the map (minimap, overlay, or big map), unless they are a part of a Grim Favor. However they are still available to enter.

Upon completing the LoH campaign on the Eternal Realm, there is no additional option to skip it on existing characters.

The HT Maiden and those things you click that used to bring waves of mobs and were so good for farming…

Yeah, they last like a minute now.

Also, what is up with enchanting costs again? I enchanted one weapon to reroll an affix like twice and when I could not do it again… I was like why and it was because it was asking for almost 4 million gold.

Why are we back to this nonsense?

So the Helltide Soulspires and the Blood Maiden Altars is that what you’re talking about?

I’ve been away for a few months and I come back to find that you’re still a G. Thanks Iggi.

Yeah. They barely last as long, maybe 20% of how they used to.

Suppressed Legendary Runes were converted to IGNI / TAM / EOM.

Grand Gems were replaced by Royal Gems for Eternal players.

I don’t think there’s a cap anymore, I just verified this on eternal, I’m literally up to 20.4 mill per reroll and it’s not stopping.

Apologies if I responded to you Kubikluc, stupid forums lol.

That is ridiculous. Everyone hated the no cap on enchanting.

I also noticed that the affix to boots like *atks reduce evades CD and such have been removed.

It’s choices like this that really makes me question wth the dev team is thinking.

the 3 inherent affixes on boots were not completelly removed.

now they are in the regular affix pools, meaning it will take one of the available slots. you can reroll (attack reduce cooldown, evade gives speed or +1 evade charge) on any boots. Kinda sucks, but they are available

Another wonderful news. No wonder they didn’t release the patch notes. :+1:

What the devs giveth, the Lord of Hatred taketh away. QOL changes are secondary to devs’ game progress and balance changes. One would think that a QOL change being nerfed would get replaced by a better QOL change, Back to making torches and handing out pitchforks.

Isn’t there something in the cube that does the same thing as the enchanter? Assuming that the mats for it are plentiful it’s only really an issue when starting out and we’re not really enchanting much until into torments. For those who didn’t get the xpac get rekt i guess

You are correct.

What point did that serve though is my point.

It’s a pretty garbage change to do imho.

Exactly.

I wish I was in that meeting when they proposed this.

Did someone think… “This is really what the players want. It’s going to make them so happy!”

I try to keep a positive attitude here but stuff like this is so detrimental and bad that it leaves me scratching my head.

To add:

  • Aspect of the Bounding Conduit items on Eternal display as such but their aspect does not function as it appears the aspect was removed. There is no notice like what chaos items had that the aspect no longer functions.
  • The unique power of The Oculus on Eternal does not function–neither the damage bonus nor the cooldown reduction (despite being unchanged in LoH). This is at least true for legacy copies. It might function for new copies. The ranks still apply. I didn’t check teleport size without it equipped, but it looked the same size as S11, whether that means the size bonus still works or that Teleport at baseline had its size brought up to ~200% of pre-LoH. The unique power not working has been reported as a bug.
  • Most elixirs and incenses sell for 2,000 gold each, but a few sell for 1 gold each despite saying they have “a high sell value.” (This one is pretty inconsequential since 2,000 gold is trivial anyway.) This has been reported as a bug.

What about Gylphs seems not to get extra range at 15 ? Not tried it myself yet so just asking since i read about it.

Looking for confirmation on this myself, I read somewhere they now change at 25 instead of 15, but I can’t confirm that myself, I’m not 70 (on eternal or seasonal realm).

by the way, gotta add a very minor ANNOYING bug:

pets totally dissapear during some campaign missions and cannot be changed to other pets via wardrobe. this problem lingers until you apply one of the fixes below.

the only 2 temporary fixes i know of:

  1. exit and rejoin game

  2. unequip pet and re-equip (this way you can also change to other pets. )

EDIT: when you unequip pet, you must save the wardrobe BEFORE you re-equip your pet. Forgot to mention this

Oh and let’s not forget that they increased the prices of Bartering by an insane amount.

What the actual heck.
I cant reasonably explain how Blizzard can still find ways to disappoint me. But they can.

An endless stream of dumbing down the game.

This on the other hand is positive.
