This is not a well thought out affix period.
Having an elite with fire feet, lighting bubble and vampiric is proof of failure at quality control.
Then not only having that… Having 3 of them show up at one time…
Then not only having those 3… having a shield you need to be under, a meteor to avoid or a shadow bolt CONSTANTLY hitting you WHILE trying to some how get to the 3 elites with vampirc lighting and firefeet.

That’s not even as bad as the windwall that instantly freezes you into poison puddles and fire puddles and then there’s the other mob that that frozen bombs as well and also has windwall.

And THAT’S not as bad as the Naga beams perma-stunning you.

both of those can be negated by Unstoppable aspect on feet
Personally I think the current implementation of these “NM dungeon” features are just kinda bad.
I’m just not really a fan of these “let me slow you down on purpose” anti-fun mechanics.
One of the biggest downfall is how they seem to absolutely punish melee range characters so much more ()albeit i know melee is doing better generally speaking purely due to builds/damage reduction baseline). Not being able to deal damage because the game forces you to stand still is just ?bad?
I wish they would have came up with other different interesting concepts. Like “enemy invasions” or just change enemy behavior. Like make enemies shoot 3 projectiles or make enemies projectiles chain. Or make enemies deal cold damage instead of their normal ability.
Forceful character positioning mechanics just DO NOT FEEL GOOD.
welph i totally missed the subject omegalul.
but generally speaking elite affixes could use some tuning for sure. I wouldnt say remove, but some elite affixes dont feel great. Specially when 90% of the game layouts are “narrow corridors”.

which which has a 24-40 second cooldown and only procs when you’re injured. It’s not exactly a solution to egregious CC spam

Yeap. And others you can get reduction on gear. My barb stand in the middle of 50 monsters and not get perma stunned
Its horrible, they literally put no illegal combo, just made some affixes , steve from accounting had an idea… Marsha from HR thought hmmm… perma stun… and the uber driver thougjt HEY HOW ABOUT NO DIMINISHING RETURNS ON STUNS.

its more annoying for me since I have like 75% DR while CCed

HOWEVER, 3 bubbles overlapped with firefeet lighting and vamp and your boned…
THat meteor following you around, WHILE your trying to get into these overlapped bubbles, WHILE avoiding poison-firefeet-shadow… Its just not thought out… theres literally zero thought put into it.
Have a shadow of “You Better let me hit you” while trying to avoid firefeet, lighting and 2 other bubbles yeah… GG blizz… GG
Eh, only affix i have and issue with is vampiric. Not even the concept of it, i just think vampiric should be capped at like 33% or 50% of mob health regen.
Unstoppable is a mandatory affix.
If your build doesn’t have it… You’re gonna have a rough time.

I would like to ask blizzard what exactly the logic is that the wind elite affix has a stun. Especially when cold already serves the purpose of being the generic “you can’t move for 5 seconds” elite.
Now consider a dungeon that has nagas, spiders (with their long ranged webs), cold elites, wind elites, and suppressors so you have to get close.

the fact that all three cold affixes are stuns, one of them being a freeze that also does extreme damage. The whole frost line is poorly thought out
your describing almost 90% of the NMs ive done this morning

I think the Lighting Storm affix is interesting. I hope you keep it. To make it more tolerable to all players you could have it provide an increasing XP bonus every time you successfully used it’s protection. If you didn’t the bonus is reset to 0.
Anything that chases me I find the most annoying feature ever. This includes Stormbane’s Wrath and Drifting Shade. I beg you to remove them!
I can’t have a moment in peace out of combat unless I teleport out; and with a group of elites on me it overloads me way too much.

Literal skill issue man. Drifting shade, is so easy to avoid it’s almost comical.
I think the best course of action would be to scrap the whole sigil thing. Instead assign static affixes to every dungeon; that way you can later on fine tune each dungeon in a way that feels rewarding so that time/reward remains similar for every dungeon (regulating the amount of enemies, giving boosts to xp and magic find, more elites, etc). Because currently nobody runs dungeons with annoying affixes because they don’t reward your time as other affixes.
Just get rid of all of them. Then add some actual positive ones that make the dungeon more fun.
