Gamers are getting more lazy

people need to “PLAY” the game, that’s the purpose of playing game
PLAY to get new items (unique reworks)
PLAY to earn GA gears instead of using RMT to buy them
PLAY to craft your own builds instead of copying streamers
because if you don’t play, there isn’t anything to do in Diablo
there are more reasons to play you can name it

I get what you’re saying and I kinda agree, but some folks enjoy using guides cause they struggle or otherwise don’t have time to come up with their own builds.

In other words, some players use this way to play because it makes them happy. I’m a cool with that.

Here’s another one…

How about take a few minutes and actually look at what your are picking up instead of screaming for a loot filter to eliminate the guess work? Some posters act like they can’t stop themselves from picking everything up off the ground. Or heaven forbid they have to stop killing things for a few minutes to see what they have.

I have to pick everything up. In my mind I am wasting gold or materials if I do not. It doesn’t bother me though. I am in no rush. I don’t need to finish every dungeon in 30 seconds. I don’t need to get to level 100 in 2 hours. As long as I am having fun playing I don’t give a crap how long stuff takes.

Gamers are getting more lazy

I can get lazy all i want, I paid for the game. Don’t like it? Tough sticks. By the way, I want to be carried next season. So there!

Maybe I am the minority but when i do dungeons or NMD, I actually try to clear everything as best as I can before calling it finish and kill the boss. I don’t just rush to end and kill boss LOL.

Maybe it is just me. But , I admit I do look at different people guides and stuff

I think it’s time to step away from the game. If you’re this upset about how other people play the game, that’s on you, not other players. If some one wants to RMT that’s on them, not me. If they don’t like the constant updates to items because they have to farm new ones on Eternal, again that’s on them, has nothing to do with me at all.

Everyone on these forums is entitled to their own opinions about the game, just focus on yourself more so then worry about what everyone else is doing, you’ll have a much better time, believe me.

No. You have to paid someone to carry you. Then you need to paid someone else to farm gear for you. Afterwards you get to post on the forum how boring the game is.

It really depends on the reason for the NMD. If I’m just upgrading glyph or trying to get the codex, I rush to the end. But I’m pushing the limits of my build or in HC mode, then I agree. No survivors!

People enjoy games differently.

I agree somewhat, but there was no way in heckerooos I was going to go refind 120 statues every single season and recomplete the entire renown the way it was on launch.

Nope, so if that makes me lazy then I am happy to be lazy.

On that I’m sure you’ll get universal agreement. I think there was one thread back in season 2 asking for the option to redo statues and renown every season. That poster didn’t get too many to agree with him on that

yea no way in hell I want to redo all that again every season.

heck i only wanna ever do stronghold once only lol, oh well.

And I also want all Waypoints unlocked once you have unlocked everything once before on prior character .

I’m I too greedy ? lol

Imo redoing strongholds could be in difficulty tiers and play heavy metal with new enemies and minibosses present.

I mean yes, and if they can redesign stronghold to be more rewarding I think I’ll be ok redo them every season.

Sorry what? You… think it’s a good use of “a few minutes” to “look at what you are picking up”? Surely a figure of speech.

If you meant what you wrote, then you aren’t understanding the problem… because you clearly don’t experience it as a “problem”. It’s precisely those “few minutes” (more like seconds) to “look at what you are picking up” that adds up to hours over the course of the season. If trash is 80-90% of what you pick up to inspect, then you’re spending several hours in a season staring at trash.

The impression I get is that this isn’t a problem for you. It is a problem for many, many others. You just didn’t seem to identify it correctly, as it’s obviously NOT a problem for you.

There are compounding factors, too. For one: whenever items drop in D4, say from a boss, for whatever reason the text moves around until everything is done dropping. That, in fact, matters - it adds up. It’s one of the 1000 oversights the beta will have to fix before full release.

If you use a controller (I don’t) I can only assume these problems are way worse.

Filling the ground with so much “must-inspect” trash - ignoring yellows, and even ignoring slots you’re not interested in - is a problem of their own making. It’s a result of the transition to D3-style loot a decade ago, where differentiation of base armor/weapon type was removed so as to streamline gear stats & not have to deal with minimum stat requirements. Welp, that’s fine, but it means they’re going to have to put in a loot filter for those of us who do mind being forced to stare at trash.

The thing is, once it’s in the game, a LOT MORE people will feel the benefit… and whiny screeds like this OP (complaining about… complaints? Why?) will look even worse in the rear view mirror.
