Well, I highlighted that in my post.
Mobile was simply one option if the IP continues as an arpg.
I think a merger of immortal and “the PC game version” are more likely, or moving to Streaming television/movies. Microsoft is not interested in isolated platforms. They are interested in subscription based, cloud, services.
There is no reason to keep immortal and d4/d5; it is bloat. Microsoft is inheriting a bad business…that’s why they bought Activision–they can do it better. Blossoming market being mismanaged. They don’t even have to sunset Immortal, they can recycle assets and most of the players will move over anyway.
Same reason we are never going to see:
