still the same problem here.
I reduce 4K setting to the lowest @ 60FPS still Fenris.

New drivers didn’t work. Crashed while idling in town.
Core i5 8600k. Doesn’t crash with any other game but for whatever reason it seems to have solved fenris crash. New Nvidia drivers did nothing for me, I have a 3090ti. Didn’t start having the crash until new patch for D4.
Happy I found this, my setup is a little more Frankenstein, but the only issue so far is the freezing you have reported here. Game never completely locks up, just some play actions and all monsters freeze in their last action. I can even run around the map as long as the parts have been rendered, can even open and change settings, but no fix other then quit game and restart system. system start resets issue with locked account, if I start game without that will get the locked error.
On to the Frankenstein, running a 2020 5k imac with 10 core i9 and radeon pro 5700xt with 16gb vram. 128gb ram, no overcolocking.
AMD bootcamp drivers are too old for diablo 4 to run, there is a great site updating amd drivers for 5k imacs - boot camp drivers dot com.
They have 2 versions off the amd software, tried them both on various settings. Card performance is great in all resolutions from 4k down to 1920x1080, 80-100 fps ans shows excellent or optimal on high setting.
Still, nothing Ive tried is fixing this weird partial freeze. Trying to go through the fenric reports but Im not that savvy Maybe Ill post one in another reply.
I realize it could be driver or bios weirdness, but now that Im seeing others with windows only and newest drivers have this issue Im still trying to resolve, Id probably be at level 80 instead of 42 because Im playing 1/2 the time, and freezing/trying to fix the issue… blarg Thanks for sharing - BSR
Literally crashing every 5-10 mins. with “Fenris” error.
All other games are stable; only D4 crashes. Tried every proposed “fix” on the internet… Nothing worked.
The most recent large patch got rid of fenris now it freezes and when it closes it locks my whole computer up and I have to restart it.
Patch today seems to have this occurring more frequently.
Go to their Twitter page and pound the there are thousands of posts here on their support page. Let’s take it public now make them fix it or role it back.

I’m pretty sure there is no real fix. There’s potential bandaids, but the error always comes back. Oddly, with a patch or hotfix. 
What did it for me was when I had a web browser(watching youtube/twitch/etc) opened on my second monitor then fenris would crash D4 on startup, but as soon as I close that web browser D4 would start up with no problems. Strange.
Hopefully it is fixed for you, but it’s probably just a temporary fix.

Didn’t fix nothing but PC users are getting a client update in about an hour console users are left in the dark.
I’ve tried every solution I could find out there including: “-aftermath” to the launch parameters, Nvidia DLSS being off, editing the localpref file, playing on medium settings, I even reset my PC and tried downloading the game on a different SSD and nothing worked at all. I even ran some tests on my RAM and GPU in case something was faulty on my end… the crash happens very randomly and it’s becoming more and more annoying.
I’ve noticed less crashing. It still does but at least I can run a NM dungeon or two now.
Oddly I crashed and got the patch and now it seems to not be crashing… Seems hasn’t been long enough to know for sure.

better than usual, same crappy freeze though and right on dungeon boss this time.
