Thank you Sphex, keep us updated please.
I already had a C++ dist previous version. Updating didnāt change anything. I capped fps to 60 from Nvidia app. Set no reflex or DLSS from app settings file but is not working for me.
This is pretty much useless information as it seems random what works and doesnāt work for people, but here goes.
What stopped the crashing for me after the 27th June update was turning off DLSS. I had it on āQualityā previously. Iām playing on a 4K 120hz TV, but it seems like the 3080 is beefy enough to run the game in 4k native, high settings and locked to 60 fps with a lot of headroom to spare.
I had 1 crash in 150 hours prior to the last patch and every 5 minutes after.
Specs:
8700k @ 5ghz
Asus Strix 3080
4000mhz DDR3 CL16
Windows 10 Build 21H2
Iām running a old Geforce driver 522.25
Well, I guess itās worth a shot! gonna disable it as well.
Wellp, disabling DLSS did it for me. 3 hours online without a single crash.
Sucks that I have to disable dlss, but it is what it is.
Computers are magic at this point I think its just the ritual of trial & error messing around with graphics and device settings that keeps the crashes away xD
4090 had a lot of crashes before with DLSS, havent had it enable for a long time without any crashes. Enable it yesterday again (zero crashes yesterday) and one time today I got the fenris crash.
I enabled it again just now; letās see what happens.
PCs manā¦
3 weeks since this topic was started and still not a single acknowledgment from blizzard.
This is inexcusable.
Yeah, its beyond ridiculous.
Enabled it half an hour ago, no crash. This is so confusing.
Well after trying a lot of different setting etc etc and keep crashing i turned off my second monitor. Game is not crashing anymore
SAME!!! this sh*t is so annoying, ever since this patch it crashes constantly always save thing over and over what is going on???
I played for the first 2 weeks without a single crash, now for the last 3 days Iāve been crashing like 5 times an hour. The game has basically become unplayable because I lose all consumbales used, event items, etc, since the game doesnāt bother to load me into the same instance i crashed from. I just finished losing my helltide currency 4 times over. Massive waste of my time. I have a full time job and kids, and I canāt have my time being disrespected like this.
Guys, in my case it was definitely problem with high VRAM usage. I was playing with the textures on ultra, I downgraded it to high and I havenāt had any crashes since yesterday, I played for over 8 hours. Before it reached 19GB of VRAM usage, now it is no more than 12GB. Using an RTX3090. hope it helps someone
I opened a ticket yesterday and the support told me that i need to follow these indications: Blizzard Support - Diablo IV Lockups and Crash Errors
Itās ridicolus.
So, hereās what seems to have worked for me, disabling my cpu overclock. I saw someone else mention it but thought to myself, why on earth would I need to disable an overclock that has been ROCK SOLID for 2 years? Including up until this last patch and weāll over 50bhours played. Well I tried it and low and behold no crashes for like 4 hours. Your mileage may vary.
Same here. Disabling the overclock worked for me too. Been stable for more than a year with zero issues in any other games.
I havenāt had a single crash since disabling the overclock
Hereās the response I got from Tech Support (after a 4 day wait - FYI):

Taking a look into this, I can see youāre getting LiveKernelEvents with Code 141. These are typically caused by driver issues. Iād first ask you to remove your driver with a program called Display Driver Uninstaller, also known as DDU, and then reinstall your driver.
You can download DDU here:
www wagnardsoft com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4518
Before running the program, please redownload the current Nvidia driver from their website here:
www nvidia com/Download/driverResults.aspx/205468/en-us/
After having downloaded both, please run the DDU and follow its instructions. After successful driver removal, please restart your PC and then install the recently downloaded new driver.
You may also want to check your system files for corrupt files:
battle net/support/article/226603
For further assistance, please create new system files:
battle net/support/article/12988
Additionally download HWMonitor, start it and Diablo IV and take screenshots of the values in HWMonitor to send to us after a crash has happened.
HWMonitor can be downloaded here:
www cpuid com/softwares/hwmonitor.html
Please also send the files FenrisDebug.txt and LocalPrefs.txt. FenrisDebug can be found in the games installation folder and LocalPrefs can be found in your Documents folder under Diablo IV.
I hope these steps resolve the issue for you and I wish you a great day.

I will attempt to do these steps soon but have not as of yet.
may i know what CPU are you using?
Cause i do OC cpu since day 1 Diablo 4 launch which that was very fine. Then just after the recent patch it starts to Fenris crash.
Thatās good news!
But it still doesnāt work here.
