I’m just… impressed. Idk that any other descriptive works here… an emergency performance patch with almost no lead-up announcements, which apparently caused more instability for a lot of users, and which apparently force-quit some users’ game mid-fight? Impressive.
Hello !
I have raised a ticket to blizzard about the crashes and for three days some GM (Grand Masters) were answering the question. However what is clear for me is that the Hardcore character will not be revived (they don’t have the power to do it). In conclusion i have asked them if there will be any compensation in game ( platinum coins - it seems the best thing they can do if the character won’t be revived ) and all the GM’s avoid the answer. However they did’nt accept that those crashes is the Blizzard’s fault moreover the GM’s gave the same answers " … we are sorry that you lost your char in HC…" “… I know how hard it is for you…” Nothing so far on this Developers major Failure.
My game is now running good thanks to the streamer Oogieboogie that guided me to uninstall the latest version of nVidia drivers and installed the version 560.94. Maybe you should try to install this version also (all the nVidia graphics owners) and i hope it will work for you as well as it does for me. As for Blizzard I/We expect some answers regarding the compensation for all the players that were involved into this game crashes and character lost on HC mode and please DO NOT USE US THE PLAYERS FOR YOUR GAME TESTS !!! YOU HAVE TESTERS AND DEVS PAID TO DO THAT !!! DO YOUR JOB !!!
Thank you for the time taken to read this message.
Because DLSS was enabled again 15 hours ago.
BTW: they preparing next hotfix. What a mess… Who cares.
Just thought I’d jump on this bandwagon to report that the latest patch was actually working fine for me, albeit the absence of DLSS had a noticeable impact on frame rates.
Now that some of the changes appear to have been rolled back and DLSS reenabled, I’m back to crashing every couple of hours due to running out of memory.
I’ve heard rolling back Nvidia drivers can help. I might try that tomorrow. But for a brief window of time, it seemed like the supposed memory leak was fixed. Tuesday and Wednesday were the most stable VoH has been for me.
Quickly fix the duplication bug. The underlying cause is using errors to trigger server rollbacks. (If the solution only addresses residual villager data, the duplication bug will never be fully resolved—the rollback code itself needs to be fixed.)
尽快修复复制BUG,原理是利用产生错误导致服务器回档(如果只是解决村民的遗骸那种方法,复制BUG永远修复不了,要修的是回档的代码)
still crashing today -
Error code :
DA4CB340-D187-424F-9028-EB3DF6EC04B4
The bug is fixed. Maybe people should play on some lower settings.
There is absolutely no need to play with DLSS, Raytracing and everything in 4K.
Turn these things off, play on Full HD. And you have a beautiful, good running game.
i’m sorry but this is not what happened to me on crashes.
i’ve had same settings since launch in graphics and no issues.
i play 1440p at 60fps cap on 3060ti with all high settings (never with ray tracing, always off) and my gpu is around 70%-90% max depending if there are other players and lots of spells etc…
btw now since update it doesn’t even show gpu% usage in task manager. i use msi afterburner and see all hardware in game on overlay
edit: i will see how things go today, i’m hoping they fixed it but gotta play few hours at least to see if they did
I see that some people stopped in 2005. It’s best not to turn it on at all, then it won’t freeze 100%.
Maybe I’m just imagining things, but if DLSS—or more likely the GeForce drivers—are causing memory or performance issues, it seems like Intel XeSS might actually be performing better.
Should have it all fixed by diablo 11.
Ps. Rumor is mephisto is still about too
i am almost 100% sure it is NOT user related since i played so much d4 since launch with absolutely no issues and i did not change my hardware or my graphical settings
DLSS was back in when I checked on my Eternal character last night.
I will do some actual testing when I get home.
This folks! Roll back your video drivers. This is the version I’ve rolled back to, I have DLSS enabled and I haven’t had a crash since. It would seem they don’t use the latest drivers when developing the game.
i got my nvidia 566.03 driver installed, switch on the in game DLSS and running stable.
at Kyovashad, gpu temperature is 50˚C, cooling fan don’t even need to spin.
at heated blood maiden battle with some SB spamming volley, temperature is 65˚C with inaudible mild fan.
i got doubled up my pagefile twice the size of my ram.
Crashing and BOSD continues to be an issue for me, have there been any updates released?
So where are those details you promised us? There’s zero transparency in the Patch Notes.
- Various stability improvements.
The update that went out this morning address client stability issues we’ve been tracking. For those who were using the settings update with the additional command line (-nostreamline), you won’t need this anymore with the latest update.
We’re keeping an eye on threads here as well as logs on the back end. Please feel free to continue to share how things with the rollout of the latest update with 2.0.4b
Thanks everyone for your patience and all the details you’ve shared with us.
What’s the word on the game increasingly using more and more VRAM then spilling out over into Pagefile until causing system instability? I’ve noticed this problem is worse with newer video cards with large amounts of VRAM. Where it will actually NOT utilize all of the available VRAM and will spill out into Pagefile early. Almost as if the product doesn’t know how to properly utilize how much VRAM is available.
Also, when will we get a progress update on Frame Generation? It has been disabled for months and months with no progress update or communication from your team. Seeing as how the product was advertised as having this feature, I feel as though we have a right to know.
We are, after all, all customers who already paid you.
Even if you don’t know, this is where you should respond with “I don’t currently have that information but will be more than happy to discuss this with our team and provide you, the paying customer, with an update on where these issues and features currently stand”. Then you guys actually follow up with that information, providing clear communication, transparency, and expectations.
That is the correct way to handle things.
