Frigid fate + Icy touch interaction? Will it add the cold dmg im missing to 60% without tal rasha?

Hi

So I have a LS sorc, using 2 legendary rings (storm swell) instead of tal rasha’s. I’m also using a good fists of fate. Currently I’m 51% cold dmg (frigid fate). Is there a way to overcome the 9% missing for frigid fate’s 60% without tal rasha’s?

I was wondering if 3 points in the passive Icy Touch (12%+ cold dmg to vulnerable) will overcome the gap to proc 60% frigid fate.

If not, is there another solution? I’ve already swapped glyphs to add bonus to non physical, but im capped at 51% atm.

Thanks

No, icy touch wont register for frigid, to my knowlege, though i wondered the same thing in s3. Non physical can be found on:
Primary/enchanter boards, theres a node on conjuration, and there is a glyph for it as well.

In addition, as already stated in op, tal rasha, and then rakanoths wake and the fo/ls ammulet also have non physical.

Dont forget: the nodes on first board and enchanter board can be augmented by some glyph effects like reinforced/tactition.

Sad.

Do you know if Storm Swell is still double or triple dipping with ice armor and frozen (giving 90% dmg)?
I feel like the dps is higher than using tal rashas

No, only that ive had others inform me of a 2x effect with ice armor; ive never tried or tested myself.

You could temper bonus cold damage onto gloves or a ring; it could be worth it up to that cap since it is converted into a multiplier at a very favorable rate.

Otherwise are you using the Enchanter glyph? I also like socketing Elementalist into the Enchantment Master board to get a decent buff to that non-physical node.
