Yesterday, i got no freeze during the entire day, and today, game crashed 3 times during 3 hours of play.
I powered up the PS5 as usual, i saw the message in the corner of Diablo 4 log window about connection login trouble, I started to play, and got 1 freeze and two crashes without freezes…
The last freeze i got, was when i tried to return to city with my inventory full (down d-pad on PS5 freezed the game).
1 hour ago i crashed just after i dismantled my items in the main city, while i was walking out of the shop.
There should be a problem with the servers.
Potential bug FIX : Let us dismantle out items directly from the inventory, on the field without needing to teleport back to city and risking crashes,…

Game has been freezing for me on ps5 a lot. Usually happens after I’ve killed something and I’m trying to open a menu. Or sometimes after coming out of a dungeon.
yup yup, the game crashes / freezes on me probably 4-6 times in a 2 or 3 hour window. no clear pattern as far as I can tell. not a deal breaker but I can’t help but wonder what is going on with it on PS5 specifically. It’s getting to the point where I find myself stressing every time I’m close to completing something because I’ve lost so much time/progress

i also have experienced many freezes on PS5 - usually when using a port back to town, but it has happened elsewhere, just less frequently.
i have more of an issue with the frequent game crashes. this happens way more often. usually happens in town. ranges from just sitting there looking at stats on gear, trying to open my stash or trying to talk to a vendor npc. i must have sent in around 20+ crash reports. has there been an acknowledgement from the dev team regarding these crashes?
[edit: just crashed again error code CE-108255-1]
Yes it happens to me everytime i play it it freezes. But since the freeze dont cause a crash theres no report so i dont think blizzard knows about this problem or they dont because they care more about nerfing than fixing diablo been patch twice since release and the freezing issue has not been fixed
100% rock solid on Series X since day one. I was thinking about also getting it for my PS5 but this makes me rethink that.
I am having the same freezing issues with my digital edition on PS5. I’m not sure if it’s a software issue or they just brought the game out to early and not trying to fix the game instead of making new games. Does anyone know why they can’t make it like they made Diablo 3 ultimate evil edition?

the game (not console) freezes at the same point in the game for me. I can do other side quests but freeze at a specific main quest.

Came to see if othet people were having similar issues. Game freezes up on me somewhat often.
Same issue on PS5 -Act 3-Meet Gerald part
Same here os PS5, aleays freezed since the game launch but it’s happening more often, freezed on helltide like 5 times in the last 30 minutes…….
6 times now btw…… just logged in and freezed again
i have the same problem 5 times or 6 by now
Today I experienced lags, delays etc. after 5 days of smooth play and no freezing on PS5. Today it freezed again for me when I tried to teleport to town.
I experience this a lot on Xbox series x. Most the time it’s when i try to open my inventory or use my portal back to town
Its happened to me multiple times when I just complete an event and have great loot on the ground. I’m damn tired of losing stuff because everything freezes. For me it happens when an event completes

I came to report the exact same issue on my PS5. Ive isolated it down to Diablo 4 only. I can play for a few minutes when it completely shuts down, crashes, turns off my entire console. Like not freezing mid game, but the console shuts down entirely making the screen go black like someone pulled the power cable out while I was playing. Which I did check by the way to make sure no cables were loosely plugged in. They were fine. The only way to get the console to turn back on is to unplug the power cable. I can play everything else for however long, but Diablo 4 does this. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it didn’t work. So i tried factory resetting it and I thought I fixed it. I was able to play for about an hour when it happened again. DO NOT factory reset it DOES NOT work and you lose everything on your console. Another weird thing is I played on a different PS5 console on my account, the same characters and it worked just fine. We played for a few hours with only a problem in game where it kept freezing multiple times mid-game when I tried to enter a cave for the Campaign mission Untamed Thicket. With this problem though I was able to go back to the Playstation home menu and just close the game to restart. Any fixes anyone knows about?
