For the love of Lillith, uncap the infernal 300 paragon cap. Everyone I know, all my friends and enemies made 300 weeks ago and quit the season. 300 bro, beat the game, see you next season. The place is a ghost town, no trades, very few groups, nobody playing anymore. Everyone beat the game at 300 already.
Its coming, I know, the 300 restriction will be moved to 400, then 500, then removed. Its coming, just like in D3, which is what D4 is becoming. Power creep is not creeping anymore, its flat out zoom speed. Now 5 difficulties, later 10, then 18 like D3. Level cap restrictions removed. Its coming, but to save the game do it NOW.
I don’t mind if they do it like 301 needs 100x more xp than 300. So technically it’s unlocked but nobody in their right mind would push for it and it doesn’t give any power.
but it unlocks an unique black tiger pet which has colorable glowing poison dropping from its tiny fangs and its faster than all the other pets and will be able to collect everything no matter how fast we go
If you’re efficient with your paragon pathing and glyph selection, you’ll realistically top out at about 250, and many builds plateau at significantly less than that.
The system is set up purposefully this way. You get everything you need at about 200 (when the curve is relatively flat), everything you want at about 250 (when the curve has increased sharply), and 300 is purely for bragging rights.
99.9% of people don’t go for 300… The majority of players are done in 2 weeks or less. It’s generally a ghost town 1 month in. That’s why they released the ladder exactly 1 month in. Their was also a new class so you’d have a steady stream of people buying the xpac thru s11.
However with the paladin being released, i couldnt help but keep playing and with the lair bosses giving so much xps, i couldnt stop myself from just maxing out.
That being said, now that i did it once (hardcore), i dont think ill get there again even in normal (non-hardcore) mode. I tried to get there since paladin is still broken op and the xps are so good still but im at 289 in normal mode and its rough to make myself sign in to play. The lunar event gave me a glimmer of hope to get my codiut shrine acheivement unlocked for that nahuntu zone however it was crushed when i did get a conduit shrine and the quest/achievement didnt get marked as complete.
IMO, allowing more than 300 paragon points would be useless.
we have a limit of 5 boards per character, which I think that should be unrestricted.
Another fact is how hard to get are paragon points beyond 250 and after 285, you are only half way in exp to get to 300.
That is why I think this is an absurd idea…
Devs made it easy this season to reach P300…OK, at least they made it a lot easier than it was. Inevitably, we start having players who ask to unlock Paragon.
When, they made it so reaching T4 only take a few hours, players started complaining that it only takes a week to complete the season and ask for more “endgame”.
When they allow builds to vaporize the entire screen in T4 without even using any skill, players start asking for more Torment tiers.

Just put back XP in the Pit and no one will ask again for more Paragon points…except maybe Eternal players.
When you’re young the limits the sky, as you get older your limit is how many responsibilities you have to take care of before you can play a video game.
