Not particularly a fan of the new system and I suspect once the sugar rush of the massive power spike wears off a lot of people will be complaining about all the medicine in the new system.
That said, I would change the system to allow an affix of your choice to be added to item with a random roll. The idea being that you can always get two desired rolls on your items. Maybe not with the roll you wanted. Maybe throw in the possibility of rolling greater as well.
