Moo, my fellow HC players 
I have finally found in these forums a fix, that helped me with my game crashes. I’ve had about one or two daily and even lost a character once in a pit due to that. Another crash was in a group, where my mate could save me by killing him fast enough. nor I’m completely free of any crashes for four days now. So I would call it stable now. I write the fix also here in the HC-Forum, as well. While game crashes are annoying in SC, it can be very crucial for us HC guys.
In my case it was definetely a driver issue, which was my last thing to think about, because I used to keep my drivers up to date. And that’s the point. The newer versions of the nvidia drivers seem to be unstable for D4 VoH. The only stable driver the community knows of, is the version 561.09 Game Ready.
So this ist the way to downgrade your drivers:
- Unsintall your old driver and the other nvidia components with DDU or manually (sometimes things can be messed up without a complete uninstall
- Got to the nvidia HP, select drivers for a manual driver search, select your card and the driver 561.09 Game Ready and download it.
- Install the nwe Version
- Finally you can enjoy D4
I know, this fix doesn’t helü everybody. But I’m already glad, if it only helps one, I don’t know about AMD Cards, but Blizz has messed it up in the past already with new drivers, maybe there’s a similar issue. If you still have crashes, it can also be a RAM issue, but I definetely can’t help out with that then.

Edit: Also deactivate everything related to Ray Tracing in your graphics setting and if it still crashes/freezes, go lower the graphic qualities as well.
