Serpentine Aspect

  • Previously: You may have 1 additional Hydra active, and Hydra’s duration is increased by 10-30%.
  • Now: Casting Hydra Consumes all your Mana to increase its damage by 0.5-2.5% per Mana spent.

The unique gives them splash damage. The third one isn’t needed.

Did you see that unique? Each head gains 100% damage over three that are now missing and you find this reason to complain?

I think the only thing they missed is the aspect that gives more heads should’ve been buffed instead of having that on the Unique itself IMO

And I don’t want just the heads, I want the whole thing to be summoned.

Imagine summoning a Hydra like a necro has it’s gollum.

And I’m talking full body Hydra, come onnnn!!

This I can agree with. The game is getting too many unique items to invoke more skill ability. Would be much better to add that to an aspect.

if this is over powered on ptr (which i doubt), it will only get nerfed when it goes live anyways.

Once you’re rolling with 8 spirit wolves and a decent primordial binding you’re generating insane mana per second. So casting 2 hydras with 250% damage for 500% total damage seems better than 3 hydras only doing 300%. It seems like we’ll be getting a 66% damage increase late game.

The amulet seems sketchier to me… I like having my 16 headed monstrosities belching flames and proc’ing Frost Novas like mad. That’s the down side of only 2 hydras instead of 3. From 48 chances to lucky hit Frost Nova to only 32. And with the amulet it’d be 3 or 6. No thanks.

Except you wont be rolling with “decent” primordial binding anymore because the gloves masterwork was “fixed”.

Oh, the fun “25% increase of 5 is 7” bug? Yeah… but you only need +8 or +10 to get it high enough for what I’m talking about. That’s still quite doable.

It’s not about the power, I think the power will be great with this Unique.
But I don’t like that I have 3 x 16 Hydra Heads in S8 and 2 x 3 Hydra Heads in S9.
It’s just not that visually appealing than before.
Personally I liked the big Hydra circles seeing on the screen… xD

they should make hydra a walkable behemoth pet that follows you around at close range once you get hydra 10/11 points.

The mana spent part is great, as it can be used to trigger rune words frequently. I am thinking a build with double damage rune words, and a way to regenerate back the resources quickly.
