Fights too difficult

Playing barb, the game is a breeze minus bosses that two shot you for some strange reason. Had work around using bleeds, rupture, and iron skin. I’ve seen others suggest warcry and fortify.

Get a life…easy mode should be easy. Different tiers should be more difficult.

The bosses here aren’t tiered correctly. And just because I prefer to face the battles without the need to hide behind someone else, doesn’t make my play style and my dollars any less important to the game devs.

it does when your play style and dollars might contribute to the game failing

there is a way to play the game and you have to adapt, if you can’t go play something else. You dont need to feel so entitled to think that your lack of ability warrants ruining the game for everybody else

Um, did you totally miss the quotation marks around his comment? He’s making fun of that statement and literally making the exact same point you are about casual players also being important.

Barb is too easy boyz  just check the DMG Diablo 4 BETA - Broken WW build Barb Gameplay - YouTube

Barb was my toughest go. From what I’ve seen though is Elites are too easy(or just right for T1) and bosses are too hard.

i had a lot of fun using a bleed barb build. I only felt a need to change my build for the raid boss, which makes sense

I always start on the easiest setting in games and when I beat it I play it again on the next difficulty and so on and so forth. Right now I am on the easiest difficulty and some fights have been close but that was only because of maybe three things.

  1. The server lag/stutter hits, I am frozen for a second and when it stops I am surrounded and either get to watch the biggest mob at the top of its swing club me or am already missing health from the pack around me. Would’ve be death on higher difficulties for sure.
  2. I run into one of those mobs that can wall me and teleport and has some AoE pool or spinning laser. And it normally walls me right after I had used my dodge so can’t escape and get stuck and watch it laughing as it stalks toward me.
  3. I don’t find better gear and am stuck with lower level junk and so my DPS and survival are lower then the mobs I fight.

But not everyone wants to start a game and have it be so difficult you’re fighting for your life in half the fights. I think the starting tier of difficulty is fine. It is better to be too easy then too hard because each tier after you can adjust it and make it more difficult and they can even add more tiers if the current ones are still considered too easy by some.

To each their own.

What are you playing?

I’ve been playing on tier 2 or what ever, and I joined a friend and we attempted a level 26 boss and had to drop difficulty to normal. Most bosses have been possible solo for example but I gotta say I find boss fights super punishing and the whole life potion at certain boss % just feels extremely cheap and underwhelming.

Playing barb and had times where it’s near impossible to dodge certain abilities while juggling 1 life and no potions feels bad.

@op you finding just the boss fights difficult or all the mobs in general?

Just hit 20 on my rogue, and while I wouldn’t say boss fights are difficult, there is a huge discrepency between the mobs leading up to them and the final fights. Like, I was smearing the floor with stuff leading up to the fight at the end of chasing Lilith, but the girl’s mom felt about right. Lot’s of dodging/dashing around and using concealment and ice imbue.

I think that’s what throwing some people, the difference between mobs leading to a boss fight and the boss fight itself.

I had to switch around my build. Currently I am using lunging strike with bleed, upheaval with basic attack boosting it, rend, rupture with 15% heal gained for sustain, iron skin with heal, and call of the ancients. I am now 25 with all my gear enchanted for what I want and it’s all gemmed where it can be (you can purchase gem slots too). I went back to all the hard bosses I couldn’t beat and steam rolled each and every one of them.

Completely disagree. The boss fights make you do more than just stand there, press 1 button to attack, press 1 button for defense, repeat.

I’m level 20 and the my only death has been against ol Rando Butcher.

It’s finally a breath of fresh air compared to ez mode D3

I’m down with you buddy. Just give us a casual mode for the story, and at end game we can ramp up the difficulty as we see fit. Cheers!

Boss - end of dungeon bosses to be specific

Barbarian got really hard around level 10. I perceived the difficulty ramp up as a gear check, which was terrible. Things leveled back out in the upper teens.

I did the same dungeon that has been kicking my butt at level 21 this time as a level 12 sorcerer…it was a cake walk. So…we should rush to do dungeons at lower levels instead of waiting until we’re higher level. Is that counter intuitive or what?!
