The angels aren’t planning to do anything in Sanctuary. Without the demonic threat they’d basically be uninvolved, as they actually are throughout D4. Their gates are shut and they’ve got their own stuff they’re dealing with.
Again, Lilith’s goal is not different from Diablo’s. Did you not notice all of the demons and cannibalism and murder going on? Hard to see how she’s better than Belial.
She literally kills anyone who chooses the other side. The free will thing is just a knockoff of Mephisto’s lie to the Heavens at the end of the Sin War. “free to choose” hehe we’re going to corrupt Sanctuary and kill all who oppose us.
Your idea of “stopping the war” is to have the demons win the war. Which all of the Prime Evils are also trying to do, and were also trying to by using Sanctuary. Lilith wasn’t doing anything original, and her cult literally is their cult, just redirected to herself. Same personnel.
The villain who was trying to empower humanity and not demonify all of them was Zoltun Kulle. The hero who was trying to protect humanity by keeping the angels and demons off our back was Rathma. Lilith represents neither of these positions, her position is the same as other big demons. Make humanity fully demonic and conquer everybody else.
Inarius and Malthaeal are corrupted angels. Inarius was a renegade angel(seduced by Lilith after being imprisoned) well before we meet him in D4, and spent a few thousand years being tortured by Mephisto in the Hells immediately before the game starts. Malthaeal also attacks the Heavens.
The Heavens have voted on the matter of humanity a couple times and so far voted to spare them.
The corruptibility of the angels is a grimdark thing, not an “angels are evil” thing. They get corrupted by the demons too, so the Heavens are slowly losing.
I already mentioned Inarius was a traitor and deserved to be destroyed. We are not not talking about the peaceful, lawful, good angels in heaven that clearly denied Inarius re-entry. Comparing Nazl Germany to heaven is mental-illness wrong.
She wanted to destroy prime evils. What demons will win the war? The war will win demons who side with her, some adequate angels and the Sanctuary. And what is the problem? Should she perform mass genocide of everyone except the humans?
Of course not. But we will become powerful, the war will be stopped and Sanctuary won’t turn in some burning hell dominion. That’s ok, I think.
Did you even play the game? The main character knows that was a lie. All she was doing is using people to become the queen of hell after devouring her father. You can see her change in the nightmare scenario. Your character resists her lies and she shows her true colors. Let me guess you just fast forwarded the story.
She didn’t want to destroy the prime evils, she wanted to absorb them and become the new Prime Evil, starting with Mephisto. Killing a prime evil just respawns it in a few decades. So basically her goal was to do what Diablo did in Diablo 3.
She will turn Sanctuary into a burning hell dominion. Humans are half-angels, half-demons. She wants humans to be full demons, that’s the realization of her vision. Her whole speech is about how “true humanity” is the evil half of human nature.
Do you understand how sinister does it sound? They vote about genocide of all humans several times. And that’s ok, the majority decided don’t to kill us all. So we will live till another elections. Awesome. And that’s why angels are good and holy.
Yes, you right we don’t deserve such Mother as Lilith.
Humans in Diablo are half-humans, half-demons, a weapon potentially useable by either side in the war. When they were originally powerful Nephalem, they represented a serious threat to either side.
The Heavens first determined that the very real threat humans represented to the existence of their entire race did not warrant wiping them out. They then accepted the concept that Sanctuary should choose its own path without their intervention(which ended up being a very stupid idea but here we are).
You want to wipe out the angels even though they aren’t a threat to humanity. They’re somewhere between neutral to allies at times.
So many people on here have no clue what they’re talking about. They didn’t even watch or read the story before killing Lilith. Lilith is a huge liar. The Horadrim and main character figure this out. She lied to everybody including inarius and her entire plan was to become the ultimate prime evil. Just like Diablo in 3.
So even better. She would stop them from ressutection.
Where could I sign to join her army?)
Did Prava said that?)
What change? She tried to convince us yes. And only when she understands that we are brainwashed by Prava/Mephisto/Lorath imbecille, she attacks us. Because we’re trying to stop her. And ruin everything. Pretty adequate reaction.
Again, she lies because Prava said that? Or Lorath? I decide to think by myself, thank you.
You see Lilith turning Sanctuary into a demonic hellscape in game. That’s literally what Helltides are, Lilith’s forces. They have plenty of cutscenes to reinforce this too.
Also, Diablo nearly ended the eternal conflict in Diablo 3 and had eaten all the other Great Evils. Siding with Lilith makes about as much sense as siding with him then, he was at least much closer to achieving those goals.
Lorax? Lorath… Well, you’re a fool. And you have fallen for lies from a queen of suduction. And fools are tormented in hell so sucks to be you I guess.
