Final update: Sadly the unknown killer is still lurking in the game. This makes playing HC basically impossible. You can have great hardware, gigabit fiber, and slow and steady game progress then >BLAM< you’re dead for no rhyme or reason. Stack all the life, shields, etc. you want and you still die randomly. Totally ruins the game.
No, not the boss powers, leveling or any of that… I’ve been playing the PTR in HC for 3 days now doing all sorts of activities and haven’t yet been hit by the stupid “unknown killer” or other bugs (like Rahier killing you). Been playing a sorceress with all sorts of shield generation and using the seasonal powers in Torment and the game actually seems to work.
I know, who’d believe it was possible? Now assuming the code that’s in the PTR actually makes it to live for S8 we might actually be able to play the game again. Of course whether we’ll want to play or not… well, that’s a comment for a different thread.
I’ve been self leveling thru T1 and T2… going to grant myself P300 tomorrow and see what happens when I push into higher tiers. But T1 was unplayable for me in S7… died twice… once to “unknown killer” another to a monster attacking me in town.
Update: Whatever blithering idiot is in charge of PTR development should be canned immediately. Setting your paragon to 300 deletes everything about your character… gear, paragon board, everything… now I have to spend hours crafting and fighting the stupid RNG to get a set of gear comparable to what I had. Total waste of time and effort.
Regeared and was playing in T3 just fine… tried entering a pit and the game hung and now I can’t get back into the PTR because it says my account is busy. What a load of garbage.
