"Feels great" buying an expansion, for the class that comes with the expansion to be useless for 3 seasons in a row

Almost everything except probably Newbie McGreen’s click-frenzy bonanza build is viable at the end game. And you don’t need to take that from me. One of the more dedicated Diablo and ARPG content creators out there, Rhykker, consistently ranks Diablo 4 builds for every single season.

The builds he lists are the same ones you can find on the website Maxroll since he works in partnership with them, and one thing he says at the start of every single ranking video is that all the builds listed in his video are capable of doing all the content in the game, including Torment 4 content. Will they all blitz down everything faster than you can blink? No. But can they do all the content? From bossing to pit clearing and everything in-between? Yes.

Hell, even the Thorns Barb, one of the most passive builds in terms of damage output, can clear Torment 4 content. I can literally find videos showing players clearing T4 as a Thorns Barb, and if a Thorns Barb can clear T4, so can every other build out there with the right gear that has all the right enchants, runes, and masterworking done.

You all stare at rankings and think if it’s not S or A tier, it’s not viable. No, it is viable; you just need to put in a bit more effort to get to the same point as those players running S or A tier builds. And that’s fine. Run the build you want to run, make it work for you, put in the time and you can clear everything this game has in it.

Then why play it if you are gonna feel weaker than others?

When people talk about these things they not talking nightmare dungeons or T4 World content that stuff is easy,

It’s more about 90+ pits and stuff like that.

People want a build that can do that without issues.

Understand where you’re coming from.

As I understand it atm going with a lower tier build just means more challenge. There’s not a lot of data on the extent of that for now, but plenty of anecdote.

My feeling is their intent to get builds into “a bit closer range” has a lot of work ahead of them with current resourcing. I commend the intent albeit a bit vague, it just seems painfully clear it’s under resourced for the scale of the task.

Guys on this forum were crying about SB being too OP during S6. And instead of just fixing bugs they have nerfed kepeleke because people were also crying about it being OP. Guys you get what you want and deserve so stop crying.
I see a thread where people are crying about overpower being OP. People are always crying for nerfs not understanding that blizzard can’t just nerf it a little bit

the season is over mate. When its more efficient to farm level 5 characters for sparks and delete them than it is to fight a pinnacle boss the game is cooked. Blitzers and streamers you caused this.

Yeah. The Spiritborn only has one build that can compete. All other builds are not competitive which is unfortunate.

Again, this is simply not true.

Every single Spiritborn build can go to Torment 4; it can progress through the pit, clear bosses, the works. Will it take longer? Potentially. But it is doable. So if you want to play a build that everyone screams is not optimal (like, say, a thorns spiritborn build), but you find it fun to play, then play it!

There are no leaderboards in Diablo 4 (at least not anymore; they’ll return eventually, though). Even if there were active leaderboards right now, you gain absolutely nothing by being on them other than prestige. So you’re competing against no one. There isn’t some random player freaking out in the corner because they can’t match your DPS. No random player is looking at you murdering everything in seconds and thinking, “Oh, I wish I could be that awesome.” No, instead that random player is probably getting frustrated that you’re killing everything in seconds because they’re not having fun following in your wake.

The only place you should remotely care about other players in Diablo 4 is the PvP zones, but let’s be real, no one is PvPing these days. Maybe once in a blue moon you find someone to fight you, but most players are too busy doing other content that gets far more development time.

So unless you’re PvPing, stop caring about what other players can do with thier builds and play what you find to be fun.

The same streamers and content creators who make the build guides and tier lists that people run to every season?

I usually play Tier-B builds, often based on Maxroll guides. I completely agree with you that a B-tier could do every content in T4 and even do it efficiently with quality gear, no necessarily Mythics. I always completed the season with my builds.

I am playing Stinger SB this season and I can tell you that this not true anymore. I can do Bosses in T3, sometimes I get killed but most of time the fight is reasonably short. I can do open world content in T4, Undercity Yellow Tributes are manageable. I do Helltides provided there is someone around to kill the Hellmaiden or the Elites that appear. I cannot do Bosses or Hordes. The build is just not viable in T4.

I could probably finish chapter 6 or the season with a bit of effort but the last chapter is just impossible for my build.

What about Jaguar SB? Is that “viable” in T4?

Huh.

First, we didn’t have enough storage space because their game code was outdated, and now our powers are useless because their servers are overloaded?

LOL. What sad stuff.

I still haven’t played Spiritborn. I didn’t pick Spritborn the season the expansion was released because I didn’t want to play the same thing as everyone else and haven’t played it any subsequent season because it got nerfed to the ground after that.

We’ll see when I’m actually able to try out this class that was released 7 months ago without feeling like I’m severely disadvantaged.

Damn OP, you’re telling me a class that came broken out of the box is still broken?

Very Diablo-like.

Btw the “community” voted against “fixing” the SB as soon as it was recognized to have an infinite number of bugs and problems in S6.

And by “community” I mean a very small number of “players” on Rod’s twitter account.

And by “players” I mean fake survey takers who absolved Rod and his team from doing actual work to the broken class they sold people for $50-100. Pretty convenient for Rod & Co., no?

And how many are there for Sorc!? 2 and nothing new? The game is garbage. I honestly have no idea why D4 has builds when they limit it so much.

The illusion of choice.

You can play any build you want and it will perform absolutely amazing. Just ask all the forum cryers….
