Is there really any point to this worthless season? The only difference in the season is malignant hearts, and they dont even carry over to eternal realm. The unlocks for the season are also trash…There is literally no point? I have to earn the renown all over again doing the same quests, same dungeons, same everything. How on earth is that any fun?

Yes there is.
It’s a way to allow you to replay the game with a bit of a different twist.
It’s designed to let you enjoy a fun game and keep playing even when you’ve finished it a couple of times.
The biggest problem here is that most people complaining attacked “Diablo 4” like a Hot Dog Eating Contest.
Wolfed the whole meal down in 15 minutes and they’re now complaining about having a poorly tummy.

Eternal and Seasonal realms shouldn’t be seen as some kind of combination of things.
Almost everyone will play ONLY seasons OR eternal. If you play and get into seasons, you don’t care about eternal ever again (I deleted all my characters already)

Because if you’re a family, job, school, hobbies or a life outside of Diablo then you’ve a chance to try out some of the other classes with the Seasonal Twist.
You don’t have to play Season. It’s there for those that want to.
Your gear and character will carry over to the Eternal Realm after as well.
Now on Blizzard’s side, I personally think Seasons got a bit corrupted with the Battle Pass.
The game’s been out barely a month.
A bit reason the Season has released so soon is because they want money from the Battle Pass.

I wolfed down World of Warcraft and my tummy didnt get sore for 12 years.
I wolfed down diablo 2 and played that for 3 years without a sore tummy.
Wow took 4 years to make.
Diablo 4 took 7 years.
Why does my tummy hurt so much after 10 hours played? Maybe its coz D4 is rat poison.

i bought an xbox few days ago, while some of you think heavily about this game, i pay 16$ for game pass and just play something else instead of worrying about where to spend my time.
like forza horizon 5. that game is cool when taking breaks from diablo 4.

How does someone enjoy playing that when its all lost anyways? Your character is rendered literally useless once the season is over and then you have to do it all over again…for what? Is the battlepass had anything worth actually unlocking, sure. Or if I was able to play my chracter on eternal, sure. Who makes an eternal realm character and plays it for 100+ hours and deletes it? Who would run a seasonal character for another 100+ hours for literally nothing?

Seasons in general or just this season?
Most people aren’t going to play every season, just do the ones that interest you. Relatively very few people will likely play every season, even diehards.
I dunno what to tell you except that IS the point of seasons. The fact you’re done with it and onto the next season.
The goal is to achieve your aims within the season itself, not to have a character leftover afterwards to do something with.
If the seasonal style doesn’t appeal - which it clearly doesn’t - then maybe seasonal play isn’t for you at all?

Just bad game design. The seasons in d2 actually make sense. So would a seasonal battlepass that i can unlock while playing on the eternal realm. If they actually gave me a reason to play the season I would.
D4 seasons are a rent-a-mechanic and are a waste of time.

Seasons make no sense in a game that just came out. a game that needs about one years worth of updates, fixes and changes…including an expansion or two.

Literally no. You clearly have no idea how these games are supposed to work and are probably someone who plays the tutorial and thinks “Wow, that was incredibly satisfying”.
After 23 years I am still enjoying Diablo 2… After 1 week I was bored with Diablo 4.

The battepass should not be modeled solely around the season. They could choose to not be lazy and corporate shills and make seperate quests for each realm that progress the battlepass for both, giving you the freedom to choose how you want to play. Instead im forced into re rolling some character for a new season thst isnt even any good resulting in me not even wanting to flush out the battlepass because the unlocks suck anyways.
