I’ve always enjoyed playing Diablo 4 solo because it allows me to take my time and fully immerse myself in the game. I’m the type of player who doesn’t rush through areas. Instead, I methodically search under every rock, slab, barrel, and break every crate and structure to find every bit of gold and loot I can. I thrive on exploring every corner of the map at my own pace.
However, with the upcoming expansion forcing co-op play, I’m concerned about how this will affect my gameplay experience. I’m not interested in following the momentum of a group where I might feel rushed or miss out on the thorough exploration that I enjoy. The forced co-op aspect seems to conflict with the way I like to engage with the game. I hope there will be options that allow players like me to still enjoy the game at our own pace, without feeling pressured to keep up with others.

I’m a solo player - always have been. I’m also concerned about the forced co-op play.
I’m fairly sure Blizzard said there wouldn’t be content you couldn’t beat as a solo player, back before Diablo IV was released - but it seems the expansion is going to ignore that. It will be very disappointing if that’s the case.

Yes they did. It’s a shady move by blizz.
Doing content that aims at coop is okay as long as you do not force solo people out by lame restrictions like you need to be in a party.
It’s especially stupid as the Mercs offer a perfect solution for solo players to enter a realm for several fighters.
It’s like blizz is blind for the obvious and I am just annoyed by that right now.
I hate it when people suuck at their job and you have to deal with it…

I am a solo player too. There is no forced co-op.
It’s just one dungeon.
I think its cool for co-op players to get some content dedicated to their playstyle.

they are not su.ck at their job but doing very well.
D4 direction is copy the success story of WoW that bring profit.
they are just aligned with the corporate goal, hence the metamorphosis of gameplay.
A dungeon that gives you retempering scrolls that are needed in order to try saving bricked items
It’s not like someone really cares about mounts or other worthless cosmetic bs, but scrolls of retempering are definately needed for gear and yeah, they MAY drop in the overworld…as much as uber uniques were dropping from non tormented bosses or random mobs
Yes, and just like Mythics they will probably increase the drop rates of those soon (if they dont change tempering completely because a new thread is made about that every day).
Did you try PTR, did you see the drop rates? You’re already really lucky if you get a decent GA ancestral now lol
I did not play the PTR but the drop rate was one of the main thing the testers talked about. There is no way the drop rates in 2.0 will be the same as in PTR.
Still nobody said anything about it or gave us updated patch notes, as far as we are now there’s absolutely 0 reason to think they will be significantly higher than PTR
Yea but they promised there will not be content you can’t do solo.
It’s one thing to argue how bad it is.
Not they broke the promise. That just sks

In their buisiness eyes breaking a promise is equal “evolve existing things into something great we have to be thankful about”.

Right they also said one expansion a year and then backtracked on it.
Plans change. Thats how any company works really…
At the time they said that they probably had no plans for co-op.
Thing is, ever since season 2 added the boss ladder they got the wrong message from the community : People asking for a group finder so that Duriel rotation would be easier to do, when the real problem was that having a multiplayer Duriel rotation became the most efficient farming method.
There were more people asking for a group finder for that than people asking for single player to be at least as efficient. They are just answering to the player feedback…in the wrong way.

Yes that is what I have stood several times now.
Blizz is getting useful Intel but they are not able to interpret it.
People complain about boring gameplay till lv 100.
Obviously wet cut down everything between 1 and 100…
I foretell another bad decision.
Instead of making the citadel available for solo people they will come up with another bad solution. Probably something that will piss of coop people.
