You have 1 character to 100 from that class you changed A spec which excels in HT/Speed to a uber boss build B. Now when you need to do HT/Speed, suddenly the efficiency is handicapped.
So you either:
- Farm enough HT mats then swap (which leads to stale ways of forced gaming) OR
- Accept the fact your are handicapped at efficiency
Therefore the best solution is to level up another same class, 3 benefits:
- Richer experiences from leveling
- Less clump in inventory / shared gears
- Incentives to play MORE

No, because hunger is a demand. In these arpg, dopamine from item drop is a demand like hunger. Now if you eat too much, you fast hence in arpg, when dopamine from rare loot drop stops giving gratification, you log off and divert your attention elsewhere.
I live in the Eternal Realm. I make a new character for the Seasonal Server, finish the Journey in a week, then back to my Eternal grind for the rest of the year. It only takes about 30 to 40(RNG) hour for completing the Season Journey from level 1.

You can always change your spec any time, I change my spec 10 times at least with same character in one season. D4 suppose to give us a build loader so changing spec by level another character is the most inefficient way to play.

No one in this game find killing Duriel 400x is rich experience.
Less clump in inventory / shared gears
The inventory problem should not exist at first in a full price game, it is Blizzard programming issue

Player have no incentive to play more repeating activities.

My final word is, if there are player donât like to create new character at season start, it is their choice and others players should not criticise them or ask them play other game or Eternal realm. Blizzard release lesser content in Eternal to the same paid customer. Also there are many battlepass purchaser who not able to utilize their points in Eternal realm, which they are the premium customer to blizzard.
I will not reply further as these just repeat and repeat. We players like to play the game the way we want, you always have the choice to create new characters and not to ask others follow your playstyle. Except you worry major players dont join you?

Duriel is required because many players will have due to blizzard flaw target loot system. Not because you need that for any content. Try to get first place at Gauntlet or beat highest tier in PIT next season without UBER. You can always play at noob level by not having Uber as your choice. End of Discussion.

To be fair, they have rights to demand improvements but not affecting how its operated fundamentally. We can request style changes of these football games but if requesting NFL to adopt kicking the ball rules like ALF (Australian Football), its another story.
When NBA changed to small ball, a lot of fans were hugely disappointed. But that didnt stop NBA from gaining profits and player salaries rose astronomically. It all depends where majority of the business and mainstream demand & potential demand is at.
This 2 modes eternal and season is a copy pasta from D3 ⌠The devs just take it as gospel and implement it this way âŚ
I like leveling in other games. In Diablo IV, it is more of a chore, and just not fun to do. The experience of running through the game is just so monotonous.
I also think they should allow the seasonal mechanics into eternal. Although, one way to implement it is to have you do it as normal (with a new character from scratch) and if you beat it, it now unlocks for your main character. As well, I would let you have access to be able to run a season from the past at any time after, so that you donât miss out for various reasons. This way the seasonal mechanics actually grow the game.

Major ARPG you mean D3 released in 2012 and POE released in 2009? How many players they have now? What is a purpose of discuss this old game mechanic in 2024 when we are at the age of player library full of good titles and D4 is in Microsoft game pass now?
I saw a lot of objections in the forum about removing the character reset mechanism and referring to decade-old game D3 and POE. I always suspect those are the concern of grandma and grandpa who canât move on, thanks for your two decades of gaming experience to confirm my thesis.
We are in the year 2024 where D4 is in Game Pass and Blizzard new president was the head of Call of Duty. It is generally perceived Blizzard battlepass system is not as good as Call of Duty for whatever reason. Sweeping change is expected. Fingers cross.
If you worry about the changes, you can always play D3 in Atari ST. If you get bored, remember to swap your 3.5 inch D3 game disk with POE disk.

A rank 76 game in Steam Chart Decades old Age pf Empire has 12K players which much more than the thousand players. Hope you understand the concept of minority opinions.
