Luft- The implication is that I did not watch any videos explaining to me how to activate or avoid activating the pass - just explored the menu myself.
so i clicked the activation button thinking it would describe to me what it was doing. i also expected there would be another prompt asking if i was sure i wanted to do this: NOPE! instantly activated. talk about a dirty trick lol. you got me blizz, you got me real good.
The shop is also right before the game exit menu. People with controllers have to scroll over it to close out.
I clicked that button on purpose just to see what it did. Luckily I have no platinum. I would be livid if it charged me with zero confirmation.
That is predatory.
Yeah im pretty sure it purchased the battlepass with cash even tho i had the deluxe edition.
This is exactly what it is… they expect from player to click on it to see what is it doing…
like an e-mail scam

or you take a minute to read what you are clicking. if you are gaming with your eyes closed, well i guess that sucks then
Why would you need to watch 100 hours of youtube videos to be able to figure out how to activate or avoid activating the battle pass? It’s pretty straight forward and intuitive. Is English your second language?
Yeah it’s a bit silly to have a giant button in the ui you’ll be interacting with for 100 hours that auto-opts in to a $20 battle pass with a “you clicked no backsies!” policy.
8 million purchasers of Diablo 4. One guy can’t figure out the words and actions that either activate or not activate the battle pass.
'Guys, it’s just too damn hard. I need to run to the forums, cause I can’t navigate a simple interface or take responsibility for my actions".
I highly doubt what you are saying is the case.
That´s by design

If you got the battle pass (in pre-order) but don’t intend to use it because the season 1 mtx are underwhelming, but over the course of a 100 hour season accidentally click the button then it will opt in automatically. Is that more clear?
Don’t you love when players defend a completely malicious design by saying “get gud”?
Gives them absolutely nothing except a feeling of superiority when Blizzard is laughing its way to the bank on abusive practice. The shills are in full force.
I noticed the “hitbox” of the button is also bigger than the visual indicator. No I didn’t click it so far
It’s not shills, it’s people with common sense who don’t need to complain about every nuance in the game and then create an “evil company” framework, which allows them to express their paranoid delusions about being a victim.
Grow up.
Do you have a phone, right ?
Once you get inconvenienced by the game, I hope you will realize people are complaining so YOU did not get inconvenienced but you decided YOU were not concerned because it did not impact YOU.
I don’t think I have ever been inconvenienced by a computer game. I don’t even know what that would look like. I guess I am just able to read, understand and navigate simple user interfaces. Apparently that puts me in the top 1% of players who can do such a complex thing as reading and understanding words and sentences.
Maybe the interface is too complex for you. Simple words over heat your brain and you get flustered easily. If that is the case, Fischer-Price makes some pretty easy games, really colorful and simple.
