You are definitevely a courageous person lol
The problem with this fight is that the visuals are so nuanced as to be where you can think youāre in a safe zone but you arenāt and get instagibbed since nearly all of her attacks are OHKOs. Fights that are predominantly OHKO are never going to be seen as good. Thankfully I got my title during season 2 and can just forget about her this time. Iāll do the rest of the objectives sans 90+ NMD since only the meta builds really get those done with any reasonable capability.
Thatās because both P1 and P2 have a soft-break in them with P2 having three of them. You can get her all the way to zero in P2 but still have to endure all three of her platform breaks before you can claim victory.
The biggest killer until you realize you need to hold your immunity ability for it, is the P1 ā P2 intermission where she spawns the spike waves regardless. Once in P2, if you can get her below 33% HP prior to her attacking, then it is literally making sure youāre behind her when she prepares to break the platform, and then move out just before the platform breaks. Do this 3x and sheās done.
I think this video is decent good if just wanna learn fight mechanics.
https:// www. youtube.com/watch?v=QmeZ_O4Mbq4
But he use alot rogue dash so not sure how good all these tricks works with others classes.
Itās not the mechanics though. Itās the overall terrible design of the fight.
I recorded the entire wave and slowed it down frame by frame.
Diablo 4: Lilith Wave - Frame breakdown (youtube.com)
Even slowed down, at what frame would you start to recognize the pattern to be able to react appropriately in the above situation?
Because this is a real game situation, I have spells creating ground effects to obscure what can be seen.
And remember, this all occurs in 1.5 seconds real time. I started moving at Frame 67, and in order to survive, you need to roughly start moving around Frame 60.
Also take into account latency (I average about 100ms) and human reaction time (roughly 250ms). (Basically, add 35 frames to whatever value you think you start to recognize it.)
movement speed on boots and amulet, and either more than one evade charge or movement burst speed on evade. get some practice runs in and be patient, youāll eventually kill her.
I would argue the first platform is the hardest, once you manage to get past that it should be easy enough to keep kiting.
bliz has a way to bend the rules of logical math to its will.
Looks like lilith 69ād ya⦠I guess at frame 55, you should hold up the sammie johnny carson envelop to your head and predict dodge down to the left
I have 120% move speed. Once the 1.5 seconds is up, you cannot move nor dodge through the wave. Plus, dodging also has a delay before it triggers.
i managed to carry my friends again for season achievement
there is just a no way she doesnt spawn homing missles in phase 2 after you 1 shot her
its either bug fixed or something
(even after i bonked her for 10miliard dmg her hp stays at 5% and begining to spawn boils phase 2)
show me season 3 proof pls
allso with melted heart of sellig and 50k hp and good regen/ reductions i managed to tank a couple missles. need further testing
well I just offered advice and solutions, if you wanna stomp your feet and donāt want to learn thatās your choice but the boss is obviously killable as it has been killed by many including myself.
instead of being mad on the forums go in game and practice, get better.
Its a badly designed fight
Lots of one shot mechanics that are very badly telegraphed, and with a lot of bugs
So yeah, the best way to do it is to be as OP as possible to skip as much stuff as possible
For as long as one-shot mechanics are a thing I know Iāll never bother with this ācontentā
i like path of exile approach
you can farm your character so much, that it can tank 1 shoting pinneacle bosses in this game
its fair enough
you either have a skill or strong will and time to dedicate to build powerfull char
in diablo, it doesnt matter my barb is op built
it still getting 1 shots from rod`s malignant tunnel
As Crashdummy as well as others have mentioned, the fight is terribly designed.
Not to mention a major issue is your connection. A player with a low ping has a significant advantage over someone with a higher ping.
As a question, what is your ping to Diablo 4? Mine is 100-150.
And yes, I have beaten the her without cheesing, including this season, but it doesnāt change the fact that itās a terribly designed fight. Almost every time Iāve seen people claim itās a fair fight, their ping is sub 70. (For example, in the above video, had my ping been sub 60, I would have survived vs dying.)
100% agree. itās one of the worst designed bosses Iāve encountered in an ARPG.
at the moment I am sitting at around 100ms because Iām not at home and Iām forced to use wifi. I killed her with like 110ms, took me a few tries, the game even rubberbanded me in a missile and died during a good try so that was fun.
my point is that when it comes to d4 people need to come to some hard terms. the game is just bad and itās not going to change. the player has to bypass bad game design, terrible gameplay and boring content. or you could do the sane thing and just not play. I always play until I stop having fun, then I just stop logging in.
That was when I completely stopped trying. Dodged out of the way, then rubberbanded back into the path and got one shot. Never went back in.
Fun fact, by now people kill her with the construct alone, while watching the construct do the work.

melted heart of selig and iron skin and you will have 0 issues with phase 2
And this is a perfect example of how latency can make this fight super easy for one player and near impossible for another.
In his video, on the second wave, where heās to the upper right, which is a similar location to where I was, he runs through the waves, not teleporting. He starts running through it 40 frames from when the wave starts appearing, whereas I started 37 frames from when the wave starts appearing.
https://i.imgur.com/QcNb7Sb.png
Iām on the left, heās on the right. Both of these are the very first frame of movement towards the wave. You can also tell that Iām 3 frames ahead of him as he has clear indicators of the 3 dark stripes, whereas I only have one dark stripe, and 2 very feint ones.
And I have the exact same movement speed as him. The only major difference here is he has half my ping. (And he did not use flame shield either to give him invulnerability.)
So, nearly everything being equal outside of ping, and I actually react faster than he does, he survives running through the wave just fine, whereas I died.
