thatd lead to a person having every uber unique in 2-4 days.
Iām bouncing between a bunch of different things at the moment. Helldivers 2. Still trying to finish up Final Fantasy 16. Picked up the Dark Pictures Anthology since Until Dawn got announced for PS5. Game was solid. And then Iām playing Grim Dawn on the series S and nothing really at the moment on switch. I think metroid prime 4 and Silksong are both myths. Oh yeah Iām also playing texas chainsaw massacre as well since that got new content.
ya like 2-3mins a t100. i mean i could farm 50t100s in 2-3 hrs. if im getting ubers doing this id just farm them str8 and get them in 1 day. might do it more than 1 day so i could deck all my alts with ubers. less than a weak have 5 sets of every uber.
played these, quite fun, tho im a giant poopy pant haha.
i hope i dont have to wait too long for ff16 and ff7 rebirth to come to pc :c
lol, so a season would be done by week 2. (including the time to level and set up a char to do the t100s) xD
Iāve got a buddy waiting for those as well. Big PC gamer. I saw a trailer for a horror game the other day called Silent Breath. Looks terrifying. Only on PC so Iām jealous. Outlast trials should be out in a few days as well.
isnt silent breath the one where you need to use a microphone and if you make any sound you die? maybe i confuse it with some other game tho xD
Edit: nvm, i confused it with dont scream ^^
Donāt scream? Iāll have to check that out too. I cant wait to see what OD is like. Kojima is a weird dude so i imagine itāll be very scary. I was excited for P.T (Silent Hills) but konami canned it. Still love konami. Big castlevania fan.
never heard of him, but thats not unusual, but just checked the release trailer of kojima. it looks creepy as hell. Ill play it and probably have a heart attack and poop myself haha
If thatās not a long enough grind, tune it; 1/40 chance.
The point is a) doing something comparatively more fun / interesting / challenging (depending on the player and build) than the current ezpz helltide, whispers/legions, grigorie, vatsan and duriel loop, which are all 100% mindless and over the top grindy because thereās nothing else to do, not because itās a good design/experience⦠and b) something that gives the player some agency (both in uber choice and in this path vs. / in addition to the existing grind).
He made the Metal Gear Solid games. Also very good games.
Itās a major game flaw if players feel compelled to buy mats!
Whatās the reason behind the ultra boring mat grind?
try to think about it
Increase the drop rates, trivialize(more) the OOHbers and kick RMT sites and said proprietors right in their tiny vitruvian manās danglies.
Bottom line - a majority will likely get one, blizz overbuffed and hugely overhyped them, rmt is the path of least resistance in a largely unfun, unrewarding and boring grind where in the process weāre often already level 100 and not really getting any items of IP note or necessity for a build.
Itās ādo this and suffer for not doing that or thatā style of design.
āOk now do this ad nauseum and hope and pray for something thatās over-powered and ridiculously low drop chance bcuz reasonsā.
Follow the yellow brick road. Youāll likely, I.M.O., find the Blizzard behind the curtain.(this has nothing to do with the devs mind you. Theyāre just soldiers, not generals)
i wont link any sites, but please, use google for yourself and check how many games are victims from rmt sites.
are these all having major game flaws? if so, i beg you to become a game dev.
what you described is arpgs. what you should try, is dota, or league of legends?
If people are running Duriel over and over to try to get a uber drop then they will not be running the Gauntlet. Most of the ubers are not really that big of an advantage anyway, IMO. I have Shako and the Spear of Lycander from season 2 on Eternal now and neither are what I would call build defining. Both have their drawbacks and you can aspect up a good rare to get similar and sometimes better results. I think the ubers are overrated.
They just need to make the mats something like gold or another consumable material that automatically goes into the material bag, not inventory. They can still allow people to trade it just like trading gold. We just type in a number when trading. Unless people can duplicate numbers when trading, this should solve the duplication problem.
Thatās actually a brilliant solution.
If key materials werenāt āitemsā that could be duped nor were they strict boa materials as in flower petals and herbs - but more like Gold.
It would surely curb the RMT aspect.
Yes, yes bots might be a thing but bots are nothing vs quick and easy 123 whatever these clever fellers are up to with mass duplication.
Also yes yes RMT will still and possibly always, no matter what, be a thing. True.
But this idea makes it so that they MUST be farmed in order to be found and removes the items to a pseudo-material/currency.
Maintains trade.
might have cracked the code Bennett.
Unfortunately, I think they may have to ban trading to avoid the duplicate. I just Googled to see if gold can be duplicated as well. Some people say it can, and it has something to do with cutting the internet while trading. I am not an expert of software or server networks, but I guess it is to take advantage of how the number is added to and deducted from the trading participants. I do not like the idea of banning trade of mats, but making mats a material that goes into the material bag and just not allow it to be traded can fix the problem. I have a separate post here with some perhaps better ideas.
Maybe Diablo means to be a single-player game. Lol.
I was gainfully employed at D&A when we bought Chaos Studios, co-located them in our building, and launched Diablo. Iām pretty familiar with ARPGs.
The Duriel loop is a terrible crutch in place to offer something, anything, that might prolong what is too shallow / non-existent an end game offering. It has nothing to do with ARPGs vs MOBAs; it is not acceptable for a AAA studio in 2023/2024.
nothing of that actually says you are familiar with arpgs when it comes to game design.
i mean, this leaves me confused, are there any other arpg mechanics that you consider⦠less of an endgame prolonging?
