Druid Old Mountain 5-piece explosion not triggering consistently(possibly tied to Petrify change)

Since the season 14 patch notes changed how Petrify functions(no longer restores resource, now increases crit damage against Petrified targets), the Old Mountain set’s 5-piece explosion has been unreliable/non-functional in many cases. I’m not always seeing the stored damage go off even when enemies are clearly getting Fossilized/Petrified on screen from the use of the Basilisk.

A few build sites(Maxroll, for example) have already flagged the 5-piece as bugged and are telling people to run 2/5 Old Mountain + 3/5 Den Mother instead until it’s fixed, so this isn’t just me. There’s also another thread here on the console bug forum reporting the same thing.

My guess, and it’s just a guess, is that the Petrify functionality change broke something in how the set reads whether an enemy is actually in the Petrified state, since the 3 and 5 piece bonuses both key off that. It would probably be worth checking if the explosion trigger is still looking for the old Petrify behavior instead of the updated one.

It would be great to get a dev acknowledgment on this since it’s affecting basically every Earth Druid build this season. Thanks.

Dude, the Paladins are in the same boat, they just ignore us.

It’ll be season 15 before they patch this.
