Druid good wen?

y druid suck?

For real, if you’re not wind shear braindead basic attacking from across the screen or filling 3/6 skills with companion skills JUST for a % damage increase, no chance you are able to be competitive in the pit.

I’ve tried so many builds, nothing is good beyond wind shear and it’s just not fun, there’s no movement or thought its just hold basic attack, don’t use other abilities.

AND the best build is only good because of… a bug?? Guess I’ll be back next season to see if they un-fk this class…

if you compare between classes, prob druid is the weakest but actually, we are still capable of all content with the exception of competition of pit levels. I’ve cleared everything as a werenado, and I also managed to solo 109 pit. Content wise, druid is still able to clear everything, but, it’s also a fact that we are the weakest link if you are looking at which class is able to solo the highest pit dungeon. Actually, ppl whom are playing sorc class are complaining too, the problem being that, to be able to excel, they need almost godlike gears to achieve a certain build to clear deep pits and prob only the top 5% players of that class are able to achieve that kind of standard.

I’m playing werenado for a year now. You either fart non-stop or use the same build over and over again. Whats the point of the seasons if im gonna play werenado to eternity? need some alternatives. need a fun gameplay based on class fantasy.

This isn’t even a comparison between other classes, just that druid only has like 1 viable “meta” build and it’s braindead boring and only exists because of a bug. I just want more options beyond waste every skill slot for a % damage increase, or spam basic skill from across screen.

Tornado, Storm slide and Hurricane are pretty close to Wind Shear.

Not knowing how something works doesn’t make it a bug.

but still, having to fill whole bar with minions is pathetic if they have no other use than multiplier xD. Only WS doesnt need minions as far as i know.
And no matter what build, ravens are kinda must have beccause of crit chance increase… And for just that. They have no other use.

and Hurricane snapshoting OP seems like it is design failure. Snapshoting itself seems to be design bug.

I WANT to play a druid so much but I cannot get through the miserable levelling process even with 400+% buffs to xp, lol. I HATE playing all the builds before lvl 100 and gear mitigates some of the pain.

The reason i like Sorc & Necro gameplay is because both of them regen resource over time, so it’s much much smoother. Druid is basic, basic, basic, Core, repeat. Boring as hell.

Pulverize is the best levelling build but I’m sick of it, having played a couple to endgame now. All my opinion fo course.

True but if you compare say a heartseeker rogue to a werenado druid, the hs rogue will get to high pit faster and easier and with less gear.

They can then farm faster and on top of that they are tankier with umbrous and insane dodge.

Yes rogue and druid can both do a 109 pit but its a lot easier on rogue and a lot more enjoyable.

Playing druid this season is like playing Dan in street fighter. You are just handicapping yourself for no reason.

Make shepard aspect give a far bigger multiplier but max out at like 3 minions. Gives many more ways to hit the required multiplier, but free up button space.

Do it as all druid dmg is a meme vs other specs. Least we get better gameplay

or even better, give it “if you have any companions”, number independant, so you can just run whatever companion you want instead of just picking bigger numbers. let +1 companion aspect be for companion druids and for no one

and for lilith sake, make toxic claws do damage as % of CRIT DAMAGE instead base damage, at least for base werewolf skills (to not destroy balance with tempest roar) and add passive skill, might be even near poison creeper, so that poisons do damage increased by multiplier of our crit chance, because even poison werewolf is FORCED to stack crit chance. Or maybe instead of a skill, make it another glyph, we didnt see new standard glyphs in this game if i remember correctly.

If toxic claws was developed to only trigger envenom and do less than 17 damage, then why does it even have 3 levels of a skill ? And why skill upgrade for claw and shred that applies poison does not scale with skill level ? basically no difference if you have 1 point o 15 points in skill, same damage if you want poison. It is not too hard to just make it % of skill damage instead of flat 20 or 77 weapon damage that never scales with anything…

For Toxic Claws: Or just make it 8% base weapon damage → not to be confused with “8% of their base damage”. Right now it functions kind’a like Paingorgers. At least if it’s 8% base weapon damage it will be (checking math) 15 times weaker than Calm Breeze …

Druid needs a complete overhaul from the ground up. The class has the potential to be really unique and cool but it’s being held back by poor design choices and a lack of creativity.

Yeah no. In order for Tornado to compete with Wind Shear (gimmick bugged build btw) you need perfect min/maxed gear.

Take away the bugged interactions on the other classes and think Druid might be technically ahead or more in line with other Core builds. Shepherds is the biggest set back to the class and too many utility aspects needed for specific builds that cuts into what damage aspects you can stack. I’ve enjoyed playing a bear landslide and am working on a 2nd Druid for the season although the class is def not optimal, I just don’t care to push higher than pit100 and tormented bosses are very easy.

  1. You ain’t going to push high pits without near perfect min/maxed gear anyway.
  2. You not knowing how something works does not make said thing bugged.

Pretty sure the poison is being amplified by Thunderstruck which actually is not meant to happen if you consider it’s poison and not meant to scale with the specific attack using it. It’s likely there is some bug on Calm Breeze, similar to every other top Pit build.

Explain how it works then if you are inclined to say its not bugged. And to your first comment, that’s exactly my point… A rogue with non min/maxed gear can push 20-30 tiers higher than a druid on a Tornado build with min/maxed gear.

Gladly.

Like many other aspects and some skill points on the tree (I will give a direct example below). The poison DoT is not like Andariel or X’fal because those trigger a separate proc/skill/hit whatever you want to call it. Calm Breeze modifies the actual skill.

To make it clearer to understand I will use another example. Fierce Claw from the skill tree works in exactly the same way. It modifies Claw to apply a poison that deals 20% of your weapon base damage over 6 seconds. An important note: it is NOT 20% of the damage you’ve done with Claw. The poison is now part of the skill. Anything that would boost Basic Skill damage or Werewolf Skill damage (because we have those two tags on the Claw skill) will also affect the poison of Fierce Claw. If you equip Great Staff of the Crone Claw is now modified to be a Storm skill. This also applies to Fierce Claw. This means the poison from Fierce Claw will be affected by Thunderstruck.

What Calm Breeze does is exactly the same as Fierce Claw. It adds 360% of your weapon damage as a poison over 4s. Since it’s not a separate proc/hit/skill/whatever you want to call it and it’s now a part of the actual skill, anything that would affect Basic/Storm tags also affects the DoT. That includes Moonraise, Adaptability, Thunderstruck etc. If you equip Tempest Roar anything that affects Werewolf skills would now also affect your DoT.

it’s not a bug. it’s just a very strong multiplier.
at best this double dipping isn’t intended by blizzard, but it’s still not a bug.

what it is, is bad design from blizzard’s part.
