Some select ones are RNG, most of them are not.
Aspects or legendaries.
You make legendaries with the Codex using Aspects.
Seems like 25-35 is where most folks hit a difficulty spike; basically this is the point where the game seems to expect you to either start making much more active use of the aspects you’ve acquired through dungeons or simply having a couple legendaries from drops.
Gets easier after you start getting those gear slots a bit more orange.
Also, don’t neglect your gems!
If you salvage a piece of gear with a gem in it you get the gem back, or you just just have it removed from the jeweler as well, so no need to hoard those until endgame.
I’m aware, but that has nothing to do with legendary’s being rng
Um… You can put a pin on the map for the dungeon that has the Codex power you want. You run it. You get it. You craft it.
Clearly not.
Pretty much this. Once I got a few leggos and adjusted my build to them I became Hell on Wheels and didn’t need wolves to soak up hits.
Making a rare into a legendary is literally not the same thing as legendaries that drop or you gamble. That you don’t even know the difference is astounding.
I am Currently 55 had no problems getting to world 3. The class is playable but you’re restricted to boring builds because Thunder/Tornado/Companions/Wolf/Poison are abysmal to play. So you’re just left with the Bear/Earth.
People don’t realize how crap Druid is until they make a new Class & see how insanely bad Druid is in comparison. I slugged to 55 on my Druid for 3 days, I had to of respeced looking for a Decent build that’s not the boring Slam build 20 times. They literally don’t exist everything is hot trash outside Earth/Bear. It says a lot about druid when Creeper is a huge source of our dmg because every skill is trash.
I decided to Re-rolled a Necro to see the difference & it’s laughable how badly balanced Druid is. I hit level 50 on my Necro in about 7 hours absolutely blasting everything off the screen to outer space. The best part I wasn’t restricted by legendaries at all like Druid is.
Blizzard needs to delete Druid and restart
Not going to claim to have tried every skill combination in the game, so some builds may be considerably better than others. however, i thought the whole point was to give us options, to build the characters how we want to. It’s clear that some skills are considerably better than others. Rather than jumping on the nerf train, they should have looked at the skills that were underperforming, and buffed them first. I feel that the nerfs were a knee jerk reaction to more people using those skills. I get that some were truly OP, but they should have been just as quick to buff the poorly performing skills.
The rare you turn into a legendary literally says legendary so how is that not a legendary?
Explain what the difference is for me? There are only a few Legendaries that can only be through RNG drops. Most can be crafted.
Those who struggle with druid like to spec full damage only.
Let me put it this way, when you have to run you will do no damage, so you messed up your build. Reduce damage by 20%, add more defense and increase combat time by 400%.
Then we have spirit. If you can’t use your skills every 2 seconds, bump spirit generation first. Claw has many apsects and skills which add to generation. Attack speed, double hit, more generation on hit, 20-30% dmg reduction etc.
Don’t use 2H for leveling if you play a proc / crit based build. You want to hit as fast as possible, for example to generate spirit. At 50+ there are other options to make 2H work.
What’s a pulv build? Im lvl 31 storm nature thing with electricity and boss from act 3 essentially obnlitirates me and I just want to rush through campaign and never come back to it…
I presume that most of you follow Maxroll Druid builds for leveling. If so then this is your big mistake. I don’t know why they missed the aim that much on Druid but the fact is that what they ve posted is garbage during leveling.
One of the best if not the best D3 pusher, Soulnsane (Souinsane on Twitch) posted an effective leveling build for the Druid class on Youtube. This is a Landslide/Poison Creeper/Petrify build.

Most of you probably don’t understand French so just watch where points are placed. My only change on his proposal is that i find Nature’s Fury more effective than Earthen Might. Other than that everything feels way better than what Maxroll posted for the Druid class.
Edit: just a little note regarding the fact that this build really starts to shine once that you re able to build terramote stacks reliently for as far as it ll make every landslide strike a critical strike. So to build terramote stacks quickly you ll relly on poison creeper coupled with its enhanced poison creeper node.
Most legendaries have some kind of number, i.e. it has X% more crit chance or something. This X has a range of possible numbers in a legendary drop. Using an aspect will ONLY give you the lowest possible number. The only way to get a higher number is to have the legendary drop, thus it is RNG.
At least I think that’s what is being referred to.
This is OP, If you havent seen it yet. I edited my original post to the only build I have found to work at mid level. I am still using it now at lvl 60 and still 1 shotted everything except bosses which get 3 to 4 shot.
Additionally legs have more affixes than rares. If you imprint an aspect, your item doesn’t get that extra affix.
Zhangbob, I am 53 , I noticed that dmg drop replaced 3 pieces of gear now I am soloing level 60 helltides areas and dungeon clears are as fast or slow as the mobs and design allow . Some dungeons are just long. Loot goblin is a pain in @#$ becuase cc’s don’t hold him and he always sprints for the largest group of mobs near him which usually has cc and elites in it. But I am 9 / 10 with that goblin my only lose was helltide with about 100 mobs chasing me.
More affixes on gear doesn’t always equal better gear. If two stat rolls have no real
Impact on your class than those are basically 2 wasted rolls. You only get to change one of them.
A rare with 3 great stat rolls with a legendary affix added can easily beat a legendary drop with 2 useless stat rolls.
My main issue is that you cant even targetfarm legendary aspects that you dont have in codex.
Like, since all aspects can be on any gear, its quite hard to get specific one.
I am still lacking the trample makes landslide and that landslide appears twice.
Like, im almost level 60, i have seen well beyond 150+ legendaries, but I never saw or dropped those two. And you cant get them from a dung.
