Pet druid is nice, took me to lvl 42.
But had to change to T1, as it wasnt viable on T2, wolves were more dead than alive.
Afterwards had to change to landslide build.
Problem is that there arent enough things to support companion build.
There should be a bear tank summon as an ultimate skill.
And then a ultimate passive that makes summons boost each other passively and when you activate your companion, others get something as well.

There is a affixe which reduce the cooldown, not sure if it was legendary or from the druid passive on lucky hit (snake department).
I agree! There should be a way to heal the wolves, also there should be a pet based ultimate for yhe druid.
Actualy, necro ones are bad too. Well many aspect of diablo 4 are far from working.
pets are useless and all caster build still force us to be in melee range no matter if your a necro, druid or sorc.

My wolves are beasts with my landslide build. I am level 71 and breeze thru tier 3 content.
i love my crows for doing nice vulnerability and my vines for CC
Wolves are super strong if you spec into it but only as a supporter for Werewolf, they die a a lot but their active damage is very strong against poisoned targets. As for their lack of ability to stay alive the ring that turns howl into a party heal keeps them nice and healthy in all but boss fights. They should just nerf the damage they take from AOE abilities so they have more survivability and that would fix most issues i feel.

they are not strong even as a support to a werewolf build , if anything the support comes from them argoing a monster for a second or 2 before dieing. Now if they actually did the damage the tooltip says they do be a different story. I’ve gotten the passive tooltip to 8k and in pratice they only ever did about 600-1.2k and same for the active. Maybe that because monster might have defense but poison creeper does the damage it says it does so maybe not.
Wait for it. They get better. You need the right affixes, glyphs and boards - plus it depends on what you’re willing to sacrifice for it. Ultimately you put into them, and you’re taking away from something else - a defense, an offense, etc.
Regardless, I have three werewolves now doing about 3k damage per bite with a hastened 40% attack (20% base, 20% when I crit which is frequent enough). It plays out well. Plus they keep the battlefield relatively cleared so I can keep some sanity in my space.
Agreed though, if you’re talking about early game - they suck and they’re only useful for the “buffs”.
It’s “Packleader” in the wolf spirit boon.
I really don’t understand why the pets are so bad in this game the wolves don’t make the slightest difference and the crows equally and to make matters worse those who want to build only focused on the pets end up falling into limbo, I’m at lv68 and I tried to build focused on the pets and my auto attacks do more damage than the pets themselves, I hope in season 1 blizzard will fix this but we know that blizzard will not fix it.
And to make matters worse the only aspect available in the codex is the bloody howl depending totally on loot rgn to put together a build is terribly frustrating and annoying it took me 1 week to get bestial rampage aspect and there are still three legendary left.
what are you talking about my wolves are tanking beasts, if you dont like them switch builds. I am now using the end game Pulverize build and destroying T4 content. that is whats great about this game so many options. You must be new to the Diablo genre.
Storm’s Companion unique was a huge disappointment. They definitely need help; all the top builds I know don’t use companions at all.
They need to be reworked, e.g. the Poison Creeper could passively poison more than one enemy.
The werewolves would have to spread rabies more often than every 7 seconds to have a benefit right at the start of the fight. What good is it if the fight is half over and only then the skill is executed. The active one from the wolves is visually quite nice, but not very useful in the endgame, which makes the Poison Creeper better.
I can’t say much about the ravens, giving an opponent a debuff is also very meager.
I’ve been going poison creeper build, stack companion skill dmg where you can, poison dmg on rings, willpower on weapons. +1 companion aspect, poison popped with werebear. With the 45% from 3 poisoned enemies around me my poison creeper activates for 418k, then is popped for 225% or 940,738dmg before resists and armor, ngl it deletes entire packs of mobs. The faster you can come up on a pack and get them while they are grouped up the easier it will be, currently lvl 80 and have done up to t29 NMD.
You want to watch out for suppression mobs and death explosion affixes on the sigils.
Suppression mobs negate the poison pop from pulverize + shockwave aspect (even if you’re in their bubble) and the death explosion because when you pop into a group, kill everyone, then those go off, i’ve been caught a few times with evade on cool down and died.
I could get the dmg up to a much higher number but that would be sacrificing suitability for the extra dmg, if you cant take a hit from the whole pack at once when you drop poison creeper you’re dead pretty quick

Can also confirm. I’ve been running wolves/comp dmg/creeper for a while now. Complete deletion of packs. However, that being said, my wolves with all comp buffs plus glyph show as 4.2k-5.6k damage (passives). I can verify that the creeper numbers look correct for active skills, and the wolves somewhat do - but they get no where near that with passives (wolves). They may hit around 800-1200 per hit and it’s not even noticeable. No Storm’s Companion.
Just sayin’. The skill description’s way off from the actual numbers.

That’s awesome!
Where did that drop?
Having an issue where my werewolf companions keep getting stuck way up in the air. They stay there during combat and don’t do anything.
Recorded this video of the bug. It started happening yesterday:
They could increase wolves damage by 400% and it wouldn’t do anything because they are always dead.
Ravens passive needs to be better and the active skill needs to be much big aoe because it either misses or they move out of it instantly.
Vines have uses so can’t complain too much about them. Huge range, CC, and the possible crit chance makes them really good in some builds/situations.
I think the Vines also get more boosts from paragon and gear. Not much to help out ravens and wolves other than +rank gear.
