Do you want to see MF back?

We haven’t seen it from the early D3 days when it was removed due to forcing players swap items on final kill… But, if it wasn’t needed (the swap), would you want to see it back?

We had magic find on NMD glyphs back at the start of this ongoing beta build. It was removed, no explanation given. Just thrown out like the baby and the breast milk…I mean, bath water.

Probably didn’t work just like resistances didnt work until six months in, didn’t know how to fix it and trashed it.

Not really. They will just lower drop rates to compensate so you will be forced to have it.

Nooooooooo! Not MF. I hated running around with MF gear and not wearing my good gear, fearing I would lose the extra percentage of finding better gear. What was the point? Plus, MF didn’t really work. BIG NO for me. Sorry OP.

Yes. Loved MF.

needs it back

I could write a very lengthy post to suffice the character limit talking about just how incredibly bad it feels with Itemization and Magic Find as an Affix or I can just say:

No.

Definitely not needed. It’s one of those stats you want early on so you can find gear, but can never find enough to be useful and not be weak at the same time. Then by the time you can safely farm with it, your character is mostly decked out anyway so you’re really just farming for alts at that point.

The other issue is the fact it increases amount of magic items found, not quality. Peoples biggest gripes right now is the quality of the items, and when it comes to Ancestrals the quantity as well.

This game currently doesn’t need it any fashion though. Mythics pretty much drop like candy, there’s nothing ‘rare’ in this game on the same levels as other games. The only thing ‘rare’ is finding a 3GA Ancestral Legendary you would actually use.

edit: and ‘good’ amulets are also extremely rare too

No. It overcomplicates things. Even when it was moved to not needing a swap (pre-ROS paragon levels) it was still ultimately removed from D3, and for good reason.

Nope, it creates a lot more problems than it solves. Lower drop rates, players feeling compelled to stack it, etc…

Really? Good luck getting that ancesteal amulet with at least one of the two passives you need for most builds, especially with a GA on said passive…then not bricking it with tempering on top of everything.

Fine, add amulets to the list. I mean even a non-ancestral amulet with 2 passives you would actually use is near impossible to find. I typically settle with movement speed, + main stat, and armor or Crit, depending what I need. Passives on an amulet may as well not exist.

Regardless you know what I mean. MF isn’t helping us to find the holy grail of amulets, or even an amulet that’s a cheap knock off of the holy grail. :stuck_out_tongue:

Definitely not MF on gear.

MF as a reward mechanism in other systems, yes. Like a Survival Bonus system.

I like it, despite it being useless in the competing game. As an affix I don’t think it’s cool. It could be improved for Patuás. I think a refinement in a paragon maybe, since we now have armory. I think it could be more specific with a chance of dropping gloves with 2 GA.

It should be baked into a Rested System to make the game more casual friendly, reward Alts, and pull people back who either get burnt out or jaded because of bad RNG.

This is a system that has been implemented over a decade ago and has been built on with success.

MF is incredibly bad. The stat hasn’t worked as an actual stat since ever. It keeps flopping because it was never good. Early days of D3?!? To me, that was up front and center and it lasted for what seemed like ages!

I was a Demon Hunter & Monk main and we had to grind paragon on lower levels as we watched broken WW Barbs do it with hands behind their backs. That got them MF so that they could farm with DPS gear while everyone else ran with lower MF stats and/or bad MF gear.

no thanks. Keep that stat dead and buried where it belongs. I’ll make a point never to use it in POE as well. I hate it that much.

MF is interesting but probably wouldn’t work in this game given the massive issues the game currently has. So maybe, but only in a significantly better designed game.

I always kinda liked MF. enjoying it in the other game right now. Tho i also think it might not really be “modern” anymore.

I’m very Indifferent about MF.

Though it was fun in D 2. Having enough MF to get awesome loot was part of the fun/thrill/chase, as long as you were strong enough to kill baddies which in itself could be a challenge.

Oh, Gheed Charm… where have gone??
