So I just completed a tier 51 pit. I died roughly 4 times and had about 2 minutes left on the clock.
The only reward I got was a few orange items. No Ingolith, and the maximum Pit tier didn’t go up at all.
Now, given that I barely managed to complete tier 51, I don’t think I’m ready for any higher tier than that, so I not complaining that the maximum Pit tier didn’t go up at all.
But I thought the rewards were supposed to be the same regardless of whether you breezed through it with no deaths and 12 minutes to spare of you died a ton and had one second left.
Am I mistaken? Do the rewards go down based on less time left and/or more deaths?
Rewards definitely shouldn’t go down even if you die a few times, as long as there is still time left to complete it. However if your max pit tier didn’t go up at all, that’s more concerning. Almost as if it registered that you failed instead of succeeded.

I don’t believe they’re supposed to but when I was pushing up my tiers around 87-96, for all 4 of the runs (87, 90, 93, 96) I don’t think I received any neathiron, as I was expecting to be able to masterwork after those 4 runs and was surprised to see my neathiron count hadn’t gone up at all (or very little) afterwards. I certainly wasn’t getting the 45+ I should’ve been getting for each run. I couldn’t reproduce the issue a few days later when pushing up my tiers again though, so not sure.
