System is perfectly fine for the grinders but the problem with current design is that casuals are going to have a rough time. This is because you need to be on highest difficulties to make real progress getting that many gem parts and rotten parts and heads. Casuals take a long time to get to Tier 3 and 4 so I think the early rates of fugitive heads and rotten parts and even gem parts could use a bit of a buff in addition to the chance to find secret altars as these are so rare you can sell these for billions of gold overall. That is when you know there is an issue.
350 hours of Season 6, with storm swell, conceited and control aspects stuck at 30%/35% and 20%/25%ā¦
D4: Let it last the whole season of 3 months; additionally, we need year-end holidays to relax.
PoE2 launched a week into December, but some classes arenāt performing well, and players are requesting more loot drops. GGG: Sure, weāll fix that in a week.
There is a difference between difficulty and accomplishing challenges working towards a goal versus grinding 5000 pit runs to achieve that goal.
How can you compare a game in beta vs. one that is currently in season 7? Weāll see how GGG deals with issues after day one when that comes. But it isnāt here yet.
I know itās blasphemous and tainting GGG by putting D4 beside it to compare.
May Lord forgives my sin.
I wouldnāt call something being rare a āChallengeā that is overcome that you found it. It was literally by chance that you found it. Or grinding for a longer period of time being a āchallengeā. Some people have more time than others. Grinds can be long, tedious and boring I donāt think thatās a healthy mentality for the game to over do.
OP, its never going to happen, their trending towards a more casual crowd started with d3 and is now on a feverish pace with d4.
I have no issues with casual games, just wish it wasnt with the Diablo franchise which I grew up with.
Their path is more or less set in stone, certainly wont be changed (maybe tweaked a touch), it is what it is, wish them the best with this path, I personally prefer more of a challenge and less fluff especially out of a once iconic IP like Diablo.
Thankfully there are other titles out there that fill my need for challenge, just like d4 fills the need for some to just mindlessly smash a button and pick up repetitive shiny loots all day. To each their own and glad there is competition out there, personally I was hoping it would spur Blizz to take it up a notch or 3, but seems to be quite the opposite as they are doubling down on the current trajectory
Tedium isnāt a challengeā¦itāsā¦tedious.
