Been interesting watching diablo players learn what a ptr is. So many people expecting it to be a fully polished, fully available version of the expansion. /popcorn

Actually, I am still waiting for it to be available via Steam so I have absolutely no idea what it is :slight_smile:

i dont think steam players have access to it. from what i know its only accessible through battlenet.

I do not do PTR, doesn’t Blizz state this anywhere in the game/ptr client?
on a side note, I mean yeah would it really matter anyways lol

How do I get ptr on my Xbox?
I’ve looked in my phone’s battle.net app and Xbox app and see no reference to ptr.

You can’t. You can only access the PTR through Battle.net client. Unfortunately that means you have to own a copy of the game through Battle.net.

Here are the steps to join the PTR:

  • Open the Blizzard Battle.net App and select Diablo IV from your Games list.
  • In the selector above the Play button, there is a game version drop down menu.
    • Select the Public Test Realm option.
  • Click Install to Install the PTR client. This becomes a Play button when ready.
  • Click Play to log in to the PTR, and select any of the available Test Servers.
  • Create a new test character.
    • Note: Create a Seasonal Mechanic for any testing related to the Seasonal themes.
  • Enter the game and test the 2.0 PTR!

If you’re a PC Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate user, you’ll be able to access the PTR through the same flow as other Battle Net users. Access the Battle Net client through the Xbox App, then continue to access the PTR through Battle Net.

The trade chat has been hilarious. So many people have no idea what the point of the PTR is, or the fact they don’t know why they can’t access the VoH areas, or why the vendor doesn’t work, etc. There’s a lot of salty people when you point it out too.

Had one dude get all bent out of shape he couldn’t test the new co-op dungeon or under city dungeon. Was literally just going off in trade chat how pointless the PTR was for not having it. Was good entertainment for about 10 minutes then he just stopped, I’m assuming he crashed.
