Diablo IV's Lack of Identity and Current Direction

Oh here we go again. It’s all the community’s fault even though a lot of what the community says goes on deaf ears. Seen the Sorc community recently?

Eg.
When leveling was slower in the earlier seasons, players made a fuss and said it took too long.
Blizzards answer, massively buffed xp and monster density, and shortened leveling time.

The game was originally intended to be complete well before 100 such as your gear, aspects, etc. That was up until seasons came into play & people were not finishing leveling to 100 (ofc not as it wasn’t designed to). So it was fleshed out (such as Helltides, etc) now you could reach 100 within the season.

They later implemented the infamous stat squish reducing levels to 60 but have 300 paragon levels. I feel like 201-300 is the new 1-100. It’s still very slow & you’re practically done at plvl 230 anyways. So yeah, 1-60 and plvl 1-200 or so might be fast but it slows way down after 200.

It’s arguable whether the fast 1-60 is good or not. Reason is that that’s where the campaign is. You can do 1-60 in the entire length of VoH which is what I did, or you could do Main + VoH. It’s fine the way it is. The real contention is the paragon levels. By which time is endgame anyways.

When players made a fuss about rarity of item drops.
Blzzards answer, massively reduced junk and increased legend and rare drops.
Even including crafting of items.

It was made better. The contention now has to do with Ancestrals. Before, Ancestrals used to mean a whole new tier of power but now the distance between 750’s and 800’s is not that big. As well as Ancestrals being a lot more rarer to obtain instead of it being the default for wt4.
