Diablo 4 still no endgame?

Today they posted war plans ,what Is Farming content And echoing hatred where Is just T4 difficulty? Like skills tree Is cool ,all changes amazing, but i didnt see any endgame in expansion… We know ,that T4 Is not endgame for many builds.Hope Iam Wrong ,that for Power testing we Will not go just pit again …

First of all we have 40 variants of skills (baseline, not even LoH)

Secondly we don’t know how the warplans work, from what I saw it’s a branching tree (separate tree for each activity) where you can choose to customize each of the 6 activities in the game (Pit, Horde, HTs, NMDs, UC, Lair)

Depends on what those customizations are tbh, and yes, you get a brand-new “content above all” in endless survival wave

Not sure what “endgame” you hoped for but you didn’t get :thinking: :slight_smile:

Seems like that’s partially meant to come from the ways you can augment activities with war plans (similar to the Weaver Tree in Last Epoch).

Edit: Rewatched this section. It has some of this kind of thing, but not to the extent that would be needed to really satisfy anyone playing a ‘B-or-above’ tier build.

Just no T4 as endgame . Is T4 power testing in builds? For many builds no . Just want to see scaling like pit 1-100 for example . Otherwise IT Will be like horde T4,where they said more Waves more difficulty or ND escalation . Maybe iam Wrong .dont want to say IT Now .but we really dont need more Farming content .

If we can choose to upgrade glyphs outside of the pit I’m in heaven. They mentioned you can take aspects of other activities and move them around. I believe I heard that.

They need to fix the existing content first. If they make what they have fun to play, then they won’t need to worry about focusing on adding new endgame content. Make the existing content deeper.

I agree on the part that feels a bit too much T4-intended but to be frank that’s what people tended to ask the most as well

For me personally a new socket type be it for gear or paragon would’ve done it (the T3-T4 transition is where the game gets stale for me mostf often)

I mean LoH seems like has a lot new features/crafting-potential but if they added a new socket type that would be functional enough for me tbh :slight_smile:

But at least we got 40 new skill variants and builds to try out so that’s a W in any case

Variant skills ,sets IT looks really cool ,but didnt see,if we Will get some new skills or just rework old skills.a lot of things to test ,Hope not ONLY in PiTS …

glyph leveling is the most broken part of D4 imo because of this.

If in endgame Is a lot of loot ,IT need be for all class ,all builds ,becose everyone want the biggest reward. That Is problem for quality endgame And good Challenge

No i saying that T4 Is no endgame . IT Is just part of progress. Right Now ,where Are you testing Power ? I dont think so in T4.like some builds yes ,but not strong builds

The problem is all of their activities are all the same. So it just means that you are adding redundancy instead of variety.

I am all about the D2 content in the showcase. :slight_smile: I wish there was more of it, but I am happy they actually did something for the game for once. I am hoping the interest in the game provides more content in the future. Give us a full expansion!

What would you want to see in an “end game”? I mean I did see the literal infinite ladder to see how far you can go but what are you actually looking for?

I would much rather support D2 than anything they have done thus far for D4. And if it gets me more content in the future, I will be very happy.

I believe what they should be doing is adding all of the seasons to the base game after they have concluded. Let you choose one of the “powers” they have made and let you choose the content you want to run through. If you want to encourage people to play seasons, have it so the unlock is based upon you first completing it during a season. That sort of thing. It would at least add some variety to the game that it is sorely lacking.

I looking for more then pit for endgame . There Is no content for Power testing right Now ,just PiTS. I would Like to see ,that they Will do one content,where we can test Power ,not one shot like T4. There So many contents ,just need add scaling difficulty like PiTS .at least new content can has finally Some tiers ,not just T4 Again

I don’t think that that was what War plans were about

The way I see it is more like:

  • I want to fight Butcher in (option 1 - NMDs, option 2 - Pit)
  • I want to fight Belial in (option 1 - Helltides, option 2 - Horde)

And then have a separate reward/buff for each choice:

  • Butcher choice reward: (NMDs) 20% for Uniques to have extra GA, (Pit) 2% chance to get a Mythic (or extra weapon drop, whatever)

  • Belial choice rewards: (Helltides: initial aspects non-imprinted roll 2 levels higher, Horde: drop extra jewelry, 2% chance to get chaos item)

e.t.c.

Then you have something like:

  • I want meteor showers raining against me in (option 1 - Lair, option 2 - NMDs)
  • I want to be haunted by an unkillable debuffing ghost in (option 1 - Undercity, option 2 - Pit)

And then you also gain boost/rewards for each of them

e.t.c.

Basically you choose Banes & Boons for EACH activity in the tree on the right (each activity had it’s own tree), and the tree on the left is you choose your next “task list” of what you prefer

Yes, there was an initial roll of 5-6 activities to play (in order) but each activty had a special tree on the right where you can customize challenges and rewards better
