Diablo 4’s emote wheel doesn’t feel coolbeans.
Right now, emotes in Diablo IV are only accessible through the radial wheel.
It works, but it can feel clunky in the middle of combat or on the spot.
PERSONALLY I am more accustomed to typing my emotes so I’m just here to pick the at the great intellectual/analytical minds of the Blizzard forums.
[I’m just proposing something like this.]
-Allow emotes to also be triggered via [chat slash commands, like /hello or -hello, similar to how it works in other MMO’s & ARPG’s. (/Thanks, /Hello , /PvP , /Fart) etc…
The emote wheel would still exist for players who prefer it — this would just be an optional alternative to the ones who aren’t a fan of the radial wheel system.
- Players will have a much quicker and smoother interaction, especially for KB/M users.
- Familiar system for players coming from other Blizzard titles such as WoW & others.
- Easily extendable/updatable with new emotes in future seasons or events.
This would be a small quality-of-life change, but it could make social interactions in Sanctuary feel much more natural for a good portion of the players.
I’m sure there is bound to be people who oppose this for whatever reason. I’m here to find out why you would.
