Diablo 4 could learn alot from Path Of Exile in terms of loot. EXAMPLE : DIVINATION CARDS

And this is why implementing their systems into D4 is bad. Each game caters to a completely different audience of player

Due to its Open Trade you can RMT Orbs of Regret.
A huge downside to having open trade which both D2 and POE suffer from

That is not true at all. Orbs of Regret cannot be bought with real money. PoE sells cosmetics, lootboxes that give comsetics, and stash tabs. thats about it.

Don’t think that’s a fair argument to make. Purrsausive phrased it in a manor that implied GGG was pressuring players to give them money to respec, which is not true.

And if it’s “because of RMT” then pretty much every multiplayer game with tradeables is guilty of this.

Last time I checked you could open trade orbs of regret which means you can go to a 3rd party site and buy them. Just cause the official Poe shop doesn’t sell them doesn’t mean you can’t

End of day their two different games if U want Poe play PoE if U want D4 play D4. there each their own and there’s no reason to try carbon copy the other

Perhaps, but it’s certainly not convenient. And can’t someone do the exact same thing in Diablo 4 with gold? it’s also used for respeccing and can be RMT’d.

Please stop lying. You cannot buy orbs of regret with real money. If you wanna go off to some shady site and buy with real money, thats on you. Not the game presenting it to you as some sort of a store option.

Anything that isn’t account bound basically is real money pay for win

You cant buy anything with gold in D4 its useless. Stop trying to defend open trade PoE to current D4 . PoE pure open trdae is 10xworse. Sure you can RMT duriel mats at the moment but any forum searching will show that players disagree with this and want it changed cause its a joke

Lies - RMT third party is right there on the 3rd party sites infecting PoE just like it did with D2.
Just cause its not in the in game store you think Open Trade is good… LMAO

The game does not sell in game currency, how hard is it to understand? go to the poe website and see how many orbs of regret you can buy from there.

Any game ever has some sort of RMT and sure PoE is no different from WoW, or from D3 or from D2, or from D4, or whatever else game you can think of.

Just stop acting like GGG has sanctioned selling in game currency for real money.

This is why I liked D3 so much. None of this nonsense. lol

Thats your opinion and a fair one. For me however its one of the reasons i dont care much for D3. I prefer to have an open economy and trade with people. It adds motivation for when im farming, finding something that has “value” is what i find fun. Just grinding and grinding for my own character D3 style, gets boring to me real fast.

You absolutely can RMT for orbs of regret, the spam bots will tell you where to go all the time.

I don’t know, according to some other post a couple days ago the fact that any RMT is possible means the game is pay to win. LOL. I don’t actually believe that, my issue with the RMT being available has less to do with money and more the need for it.

Someone above pointed out you get 20 orbs from the campaign, so yeah you fix a few mistakes but… you get 123 skill points. So either you hope drops keep up if you ever want to full swap your build, trade for them and hope you understand the trading values, or pay money to someone on a 3rd party site. It’s a barrier that’s more harsh than paying gold in D4 or not having a way to undo them all at once (though that’s fixed now). It’s a snapshot of the entire PoE economy, one that shows you either have to play nonstop or pay money to some sketchy site.

All that said, I personally just made new characters so I never had to butt my head against that wall but I see the wall.

Exactly D3 Trade Solved this issue

Yeah need to make sure those RMT sites dont save your CC details LMAO

I mean yes, it doesnt allow as free respeccing as D4. It’s just how the game is i suppose. If you play in the trade league (they also have a SSF mode btw) its set up in such a way that if u really need to or want to respecc at lets say lvl 60 and you have 80 points but only have 20 free respecc points then yes you will need to trade for some regret orbs.

And yes that means you need to kinda know the value of things but not really, you just simply go on the official trading site and pick the cheapest and if they invite you to a party in game youre good to go. It’s not hard, but it involves trading.

I was just pointing out that PoE sells as much in game currency as D4 sells Duriel mats for real money. And i dont really care that some people do that, it doesnt hurt my enjoyment of participating in the economy in the game.

D4 RMT - Duriel or End Game Boss Mats , To a degree GG rolled Yellows
POE RMT - 100% of items in the game due to Open Trade

Big Difference Mate

I totally get the games themselves each dont advocate RMT but due to the way things are implement it happens cause players will take advantage where they can , this directly effects things like leaderboards being lead by the wallet and not skill/gear.
Finger cross Duriell mats go down the D3 path and become account bound. I dont think PoE would ever move away from full open trade

D4 gold rains from the sky , i never said people wouldnt buy GG Rolled Yellows with Real Money. Hence im an advocate for D3s account bound system.

Open Trade will 100% cause 3rd party RMT to pop up and it will have mixed review but in my opinion is toxic AF
There were multiple reasons i stopped playing PoE and while it was a while ago RMT and Open Trade was a big reason as to why i dont.
So heres hoping Rod doesnt get any idiotic ideas and implement anything PoE into D4 like for like
I dont understand people going omg Poe needs this from D4 or D4 needs this from PoE.
If you like something SOO much from the other game go play it . Not all ARPG should be the same.
