Born into a world of opulence and prejudice, the Courtesans have long been regarded with both respect and condescension, given their vocation. Despite this dissonance, their strong will and determination have allowed them to garner wisdom and influence throughout the ages, establishing their undeniable position in societies across Sanctuary. In the North especially, where Xiansai and nearby settlements lay, the Courtesans are regarded in high status and have established connections with the local mage clans and other powerful groups. With the threat of evil ever advancing in the mortal realm, the Courtesans have since begun to use their position and sizeable wealth to augment and realign their profession’s fare in combat. To this end, they have ventured into works of alchemy and magicks, fusing them with their skill in cloth, perfumery, and dance - proving them capable and deadly, yet still graceful and regal. Their continued struggle for their world will take them to places well out of their comfort - and into the depths of Hell itself.
