still no tempering fix ?
I don’t understand the D4 player base. So many complaints about what S8 did not deliver, it’s like they don’t understand the nature of incremental seasonal updates, and keep expecting expansion-like content every season.
That has never been how seasons work in ARPGs, and it never will. Particularly one published by a company like Blizzard that is focused more on revenue than happy customers. Their model is simple and very unsurprising. They will continue to put out incremental seasonal updates that modify various aspects of their core gameplay loop using a small team, while the majority of work is done on the next expan$ion.
Anyone who came into S8 expecting a lot of exciting new content just doesn’t understand Blizzard’s strategy.
Wanderlust, you are totally wrong on the “focused more on revenue than happy customers”
Have you seen a unhappy user of a mobile phone buying cover for it or buying the next model ? Of course not: they just dump it and try another one. Plenty of choice.
However, plenty of people complain about the iPhone lack of innovation from one to another model, but still purchase it when they have to replace their old one cause they are truly happy by the current functionalities.
The problem is that there are not enough business people who understand customers in these dev’ units.
Happy customers & engaged players = lot of money & engagement
No, he’s not.
They are focused on making those who make purchases happy. Mobile users do this in droves. A vast majority of PC/Console gamers do not. D4 leadership is marketing to the few that make purchases. D4 is revenue focused. The collab and new BP is more than proof enough.
There is still TQ2 on the horizon. Cannot wait to put my hands on that.
