Changes to the skill tree¿
I suppose those wont be available till 2nd expansion? As they were explaining it they are still “checking” aspects and the tree for changes.

Changing the tree could very well be a massive boon to this game and maybe even revising or revisiting how paragon trees work.
There’s no real season to it, that’s my real criticism. We will be spending all of our time doing the normal activities to again kill the bosses, we just get loot slower now.
This is just a regular patch in some games. It’s a skippable season for anyone that needs one.
Iggi, you are the best for putting this together for us… it is very appreciated.
Not happy that they scaled back the difficulty, but not surprised either. These devs have no backbone, no convictions and fold like cheap suits to the slightest form of criticism. Even when they know its bad for the game. Sad.
The squeaky wheel gets the grease, and they were squeaking.
That wheel squeeks any time it has to actually pay attention to the road without running into something. At some point you have to realize its not worth having.
From the sounds of it, seems like a 50% nerf from the values of the PTR, but it’ll still be more difficult than S7 now.
Thanks Iggi take care.

Just the fact we will be acquiring items slower than S7 will slow the game down for many. Between the boss changes and not having an activity pumping out items, it’ll have a big impact on player progression.
Yep, but I feel this is a bit cheap compared to Blizzard’s development capabilities. Honestly, I don’t have much hype—no new world bosses, no new runes, no new classes, no new skills… It’s like they’re working with just one or two developers per season. Maybe they’re focusing on the next expansion. I will give it a try, but not sure to keep playing it very long.
What color is the seasonal helltide?

When their playerbase doesn’t want to play the game, that’s what you get. Fast, cheap, and shallow.
I’m still trying out this season because of the bosses but the game does seem to be in a pretty sad state.
This is exactly it. It’s funny because I’ve never seen a player base like this before that wants to so badly to NOT want to play the game so much that they ask for everything to be as fast as possible. Skip skip skip!!!
But oh man they wanna eat up that battle pass as fast as possible just so they can look good for about an hour in game then log off!
It really is sad.
they don’t want every build to do the same amount of dps
thats a shame… why punish people for what they want to play and then force them to play yOUR way the class that can do the big damage numbers.
Even with your tidy recap notes, I’ll probably skip this season and next and next until i see that little glorious note… new class - tank (if its a shadow/death or paladin/crusader knight beefy boi)…
Maybe ill buy d4 for my switch 2 when it arrives June 7th or so time frame! oh yeah stayed up late mad clicking on all the online websites and got one from walmart lol
They misunderstand balance. No one wants every build to be the same. The point here is being creative and clever. If a certain class/build does less DPS than others, then it should innately have some other creative advantage other builds do not. Like if Rogue were always the dominating Crowd Controller, but didn’t necessarily do the raw damage of a Barb. Or Sorc having stronger offense than most, but not necessarily strong defense, or Barb having strong Offense and Defense but perhaps not the strongest of either in the game and had drawbacks of no real ranged/screen sized aoe attacks. All they see is numbers, all they adjust are numbers. They are not thinking creatively enough.
Balance is constantly ongoing, they don’t want every build to do the same amount of dps, they want each build to be able to complete all content in the game, such as finish the season journey, reach torment 4, kill big Belial, etc
The issue i have IS that i dont Like Games where the Outcome IS so blatantly forshadowed.
Seriously D4 IS Like. Here IS a season. You win anyway. Just dumb a bunch of time to Play a meaningless Game you already know the Outcome.
I swear to good there is nothing to gain in D4 hence IT IS one of the worsed Games ever. IT feels Like constantly riding with Support wheels.
I like the changes. D4 is going to a good direction now.
Just dumb a bunch of time to Play a meaningless Game you already know the Outcome.
That’s every single ARPG within the Diablo genre though. I’m not saying you’re wrong, but I’m curious what you were expecting from any of these games, Diablo, PoE, LE, etc.
That IS why i Said blatantly forshadowed.
I am playing Games since 30 years. If i start a new Game No Matter what Genre i know i can handle normal Mode with ease and probably more and win the Game. None of this feels so pointless Like D4 however.
The reason forthat are several issues that are intertwined in D4.
Having terrible balancing and making clear that even Bad builds can do t4 IS one of em.
They make Sure No Matter what build you will win and in top of that they Streamline Item Progression in a way you also know you cant fail.
