I think it depends when you are hit by his DoT or not.
I agree they are awful but this is where situational awareness really plays into the game. You basically just don’t want to spawn them. Never stand on the spawn points in game, you want to always put yourself in the middle. When you kill enough mobs you will spawn an Aether mob, the key is a flashing circle happens where things spawn at, if it flashes and nothing is there that means you are getting one of them, DO NOT go near the spawn area, they only spawn if you get close enough. Just ignore that area until you are either ready to kill one or you just dont get close enough for it to spawn. Every other thing in game that drops aether you can visually see it there, your minimap also reflects this. I went from dying to these jerks often to them never being an issue, I dont engage and spawn them now unless my CDs are ready and i dont ever die anymore. Worst case scenerio you ignore them and dont spawn them and finish the round with a couple less aether, big whoop, thats a lot more than time wasted doing 6 waves just to die and start over which you get nothing for.
