Did the Next Diablo 4 Class Just Leak?

Apparently blizzard may have unintentionally leaked the next class they are working on for D4 next expansion.

The Demon Hunter..

Why ? because in loot filter, there is a weapon type found “hand crossbow”…

Well, there are no such weapon type in game right now… and if you played D3, you know this is a signature weapon for the Demon Hunter.. Dual wielding hand crossbow.

It is likely and reasonable to assume that blizzard unintentionally leaked this in loot filter because it is pre baked in the programming code - as rhykker said. Which I agree and it just showed up for us in the game.

What are your thoughts ?

That is interesting, I would not have played D3 as much if it weren´t for that class.

DHs are literally rogues. I am new and even I know that much. I just made one, she has rapid fire, the same ability DHs had in D3.

Did you miss all of his other comments when he said that it might not be because of XYZ?

If it is true and I hope not because this would be the first Diablo DLC that I will not get.

OR…..

there is no expansion, only a classes DLC added, just the class nothing else, the core gameplay and everything about the end game will still be the same as it was a year ago…. just now you can buy a new class and do the same thing over again for only $24.99!

Rogue is more like the Temu DH

As for DH being the next class? i mean if they found a way to make it unique enough, awesome

But it is HIGHLY similar to rogue, so i can’t really see it happening, unless they sort of start moving into doing sub-classes of sorts

Or … Code has been copy/pasted, which is possible. Why reinvent the wheel.

DH and rogue are too similar to have both in D4. There would need to a substantial rework of the DH to make it different from Rogue. It is also possible that maybe rogue is getting a new base weapon type at some point.

Seems unnecessary with rogue being in the game, rather just give crossbows to said rogue and come up with an actally original class.

shuriken , kunai , tri-section staves!
Rogues already have smoke-bombs.
Bombadier’s rucksacks - brings back memories of hunting for the ideal one.

Admittedly coming up with more classes is probably going to be hard. What do they add at this point? The last 3 they’ve added have been cool thematically which generates hype. I don’t think any previous title’s classes could have the same awesome look. So if they come up with something new it has to have that same wow factor that the last 3 classes have had.

Conceptually there’s a lot of overlap with rogue, but there’s a bunch the d3 demon hunter had that hasn’t been touched yet…bombs, turrets, rockets, and a couple other things I’m too tired to remember right now. They could make it work if they wanted to, especially if they leaned a bit more into the engineering side.

On a side note, I now want to dual-wield rocket launchers. A guy can dream.

Hmm, I like the idea of an Engineer class that uses deployment of various devices, could be fun.

And afterwards they’ll bring “bullet” weapons to the game…
Revolvers, shotguns, machineguns…
Just completelly “Doomadize” D4…
