If they need time to tinker the game and fix things right,
I am ok with staying S7 for one month more.
Worst scenario is getting half baked trash product and endure the whole Blizzcon next year

You will get both a delay and a half baked season. They just don’t want to go head to head with poe’s update and look foolish again.

They already did delay it a couple of weeks
The problem here is they either can’t, or won’t.
I’m going to guess here - feel free to tell me if I’m wrong…
By “fix things right” do you mean things like class balance, difficulty, bugs, etc.?
If so –
I kind of expect, under the time pressure, for seasons to launch buggy. But everything else they have had (help me dr. googlesearch) 8~9 freaking years of development time to the present, including about 1 year and 9 months of live availability, as well as ~2 years of prior game work that was cancelled to “fix things right.”
This game ain’t getting fixed.
Now, if you are just talking about the seasonal stuff itself, eh I guess. I’m just annoyed that according to the PTR feedback I’ve read, it seems that Blizzard is balancing (I use that term loosely) upcoming content around the boss powers, which a not-insignificant number of us won’t be accessing.
I’ll certainly keep up with any patch notes and try the game when it’s live but I am not expecting anything.
If that’s the reality, I’m quitting lol no worries, I will go play other games

Heck, make it 6 months. The wait wont justify it. Because the season will launch in a terrible state, as per Blizz standards.
I don’t get the hate for this season by the Devs, towards its casual customers. The streamers i get why they endorse it harder bosses means more streaming better monetization and more how toos. You need us to get thru. Watch our channel.
personally i had a great time this season the Season whispers were fun and worth doing just enough to keep doin them for the spark and the amount of loot meant i used the armory for the first time and made about 3 builds per class and played them on different Tiers depending on there strength. Like the new sorc familiar unique is great for levelling i got it early and enjoyed the journey then moved on to fire and lightning and variant with the ball lightning unique builds. I got to try and enjoy so many great fun builds. If i had to grind barely enough for one build I would have left the season on completion of the journey.
As it i have six characters each with 3 different builds all fun in their own way. When i was burning out i started my first hardcore character he died to dubious mechanics at P 180 when somehow my health went to zero within 100 points for reaching the spark i suspect the shatter power. Great fun tho.
Point is if it was slow and grindy with low drops never would have stayed in game. I spent a week on S8 PTR decided to take the opportunity to play the campaign again. Powers were ok but levelleing till cheat boy turned up was absolutely brutal and boring. I got 1 legendary in the whole campaign. i was 40 and then i had about enough and hit the 60 cheat button, did an 2 hours of the new season power event it upgrades max 50 points at a time before i said f it i aint got a year and hit the cheat button again killed all the bosses with a level 20 billial 1 shot . Went in the next day don’t know if it was the nerf hammer or a bug But the power just seemed to heal the bosses and varshan was unbeatable on my rogue build not enough dps. the levelling of the powers is slow and time gated and not great its a slightly better version of realm walkers timewise.
Who knows their might be an amazing whisper event with it albeit with blue and yellow drops, that wasn’t shown to suprize us , but I’m betting a 10 level season journey that gives you .0000001 point per blue boss fight without a spark at the end, that takes a month to level 1 blue power. i will get on to see but don’t see me creating any more than 1 build next season and taking a break soon after if the Battlepass isn’t locked to group activity or T4 content in which case i’ll just pass.
never gonna happen - the streamers are wanting their vids on how to level fast and beat the bosses released as soon as possible and season 8 is all about them. All these chnages are for their benefit so they can make content.

Please dont delay s8. I want to complete battle pass and have couple month holiday from diablo while waiting next season. I even might have some fun playing for couple of weeks.
